Cory miserably sat next to Bennett's bed. Head in his hands, shoulders slumped. Why does he always fuck up so badly all the time? He was so angry. Blindly angry that Bennett would treat him in that way, that he was being toyed with. But what he did was unforgivable. When he saw the look on Bennett's face, he should have stopped. He should have spoken to him. He could still see those scared, hurt blue eyes in front of him. That pained look on Bennett's face, was the one thing he will never forget. That look of betrayed trust.
When he'd come to his senses, he rushed after Bennett and found him laying on the floor, blood smeared up against the tiled wall and on the floor where he'd fallen. It looked like a crime scene. Cory's heart had stopped. Without thinking he bundled Bennett into the car and drove him at high speed to the hospital. Luckily it was nothing too serious they had told him. A sever panic attack. The glass had caused some cuts and abrasions to his hands, but Cory knew it could have been so much worse. In the space of one afternoon he had hospitalised the man he loved and almost ruined his career with the same hand.
Bennett's mother had been in as soon as he gave her the call. She didn't ask much, only sitting and crying next to Bennett. Cory was glad that he was allowed to stay and refused to leave the room when the nurse came to check on Bennett. He was still sitting holding Bennett's hand when the door flew open. Before Cory could turn around, he was pulled back off the chair, and fist a make contact with his face. Shaking his head, while stumbling up from the ground, he was thrust up against the wall.
Blue had her forearm up forcefully pushed up against his neck. "What did you do to him." she hissed quietly at him. "What the fuck did you do to him?!"
Cory didn't say anything, tears rolled down his face. Blue's fist made contact with his jaw. He didn't try to protect himself, didn't fight back. This was the punishment he deserved for hurting the one person who means the world to him, he thought. Blue threw him to the side, so that he landed hard on the floor and turned to walk over to where Bennett was laying.
Victor and Ellie was standing next to his bed. Ellie's eyes were wide, keeping her eyes on Blue and Cory. Victor, a grim look on his face, looked like he also wanted to take a swing as well. Instead his hands were clenched in fists at his side. Blue put her hand on Bennett's forehead, a tear slipping down her flushed face.
"You'll never be hurt again Ben. I'll make sure of that. Just wake up okay?" She begged him quietly. "You just need to wake up, okay?" Turning to Cory, her eyes narrowed in anger. "Get the fuck out of here if you still want to be alive, you fuck head! Just leave, or I'll make you leave!" she spat at him, the threat still reverberating through the room.
Cory shook his head and walked over to Bennett. "I can't leave him. He's my world. I can never leave him!" Cory didn't care that the torture and torment showed on his face as he pleaded with Blue.
Instead of answering she took out her phone. "Come and get him." She said before putting the phone back into her pocket. Within seconds two burly men in black suits came into the room, each grabbing Cory by the arm.
"What do you want to do with him?" one asked looking at Blue for a response.
"I'll deal with him later. Make sure he never steps foot in this hospital again." She gave Cory a final look, as if he was dirt on her shoes, before turning back to Bennett.
Cory struggled against their grip, but it was of no use. He called out Bennett's name as he was forcefully dragged out of the room. They didn't let go of him, until they threw him unceremoniously out of the hospital, taking a stance outside the doors. Frustrated, he ran at the door again, trying to tackle one of the men. He was pushed back hard this time, falling on his ass.
"It's best that you stop now. Ms. Blue wont take this lightly." one warned him, as he prepared to take them on again.
Cory screamed in frustration. People looking at him like he was a madman. Instead of moving on though, he sat down on a nearby bench, sobbing into his hands.

Bennett slowly opened his eyes, seeing three very concerned faces looking at him. He smiled at them, but immediately he became aware of the pounding in his head. Putting a hand to his temple, he realised that his hands were wrapped in a light gauze. His heart stopped immediately as he looked down at his hands. Moving his fingers slowly, he relaxed a bit. There didn't seem to be any major damage, but who knows.
He turned to Blue, "I'm not freaking out." he smiled proudly at her, but she frowned at him, not finding his comment in the slighted amusing. "I'm okay Blue, really."
"Do you want to tell me what happened?" she gazed intently at his face, as if looking for something.
I panicked, that's all. Then the memories of that... that day came back. I wasn't prepared for it. It was a lot to take in." he explained. Ellie nodded in agreement, some colour returning to her face, but still concerned.
"Don't worry. He'll never come near you again. I promise that." she comforted him.
"Mum must have called everybody I suppose."
"Bennett, please. Don't insult me. I don't need to wait for a call to know when trouble is near." she smiled a little. "I'm just sorry I couldn't make it in time."
He nodded with a smile. "I know that you'll always be there Blue. Where's mum?" he asked, surprised not to see her there.
"You're mum had to take off for work, and that shithead, I'll deal with him later." she explained.
"Deal?... as in...? his eyes widened in alarm.
"Don't worry, I won't kill him... yet." Her eyes were narrowed in that typical Blue way, that made him understand how serious she was.
Bennett was discharged that evening and his friends took him home, insisting that they stay until his mother got home. They sat chatting, carefully avoiding the events of earlier. His mother came in in a flurry, hurrying over to him.
"I'm okay mum," he consoled her as she cried. Sniffing, her nose red and blotchy, she looked at the other three.
"Thank you for taking care of him." she said earnestly. Then, as if she only remembered, she turned to Bennett again. "Who are the two guys parked in the driveway?"
"That'll be Jarred and Little Tony." Blue informed her. "They'll be here until things die down a bit."
"Oh... oh" Chrissie seemed to mull this over in her head, a slight frown on her face. "I don't really think it's necessary Blue. We're not in any danger here."
"This is just for in case Chrissie. Of course you're not in danger. They are only here to make sure that Bennett can rest easily." Blue explained. The steel in her voice indicating that this is was not up for discussion. "They'll only be here for a few days."
"O-okay, if you think it's best for Bennett, then I suppose I can't argue with that." she looked with concern at Bennett, grateful that his friends were there with him.
