Cory couldn't sleep after the night he'd had. Everybody had left and he was laying sprawled out over his bed. Still grinning as he recalled their conversation and what happened earlier. It was perfect. Maybe he still had a chance. He just needed to break down those big walls that Bennett surrounded himself with, then he will definitely have a chance. Why am I pining away for a boy who may want nothing to do with me? Why am I so desperately searching for approval and acceptance from Bennett?' The answer seemed just out of reach, as he fell to sleep.

--

Bennett woke up late Saturday morning wondering why his chest felt so heavy. Last night's events still playing at the back of his head. He was more confused than ever and didn't quite know what to do with the Cory situation.

A loud snore next to him told him that Blue was still out punching sheep in her sleep. He gave her a sharp poke with his elbow to wake her up.

She sat up straight, clutching her side "Ow!" she cried out, then she grabbed her head in pain and whispered "Ow" quietly.

Slowly raising her head she turned to him with a shocked expression on her face, her headache forgotten. Her eyes darted from Bennett laying next to her half naked, to herself. Then she let out a loud scream. He tried to shush her by placing a hand over her mouth, but she just grabbed the sheets closer to herself, giving him the beady eye.

"Did I... did we? Did we just sleep together?" she asked in horror, her hands clasped over her open mouth.

"Yep!" Bennett confirmed cheerfully jumping out of bed to grab a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. He turned around to toss her a sweater and a pair of sweats.

"Jeez, thanks. How romantic of you." she commented dryly, pulling the sweater nearer.

"Good morning! I thought I heard a scream this morning." Bennett's mum briefly knocked before she opened the door. "Oh, Blue! You're here! What a wonderful surprise!" she exclaimed beaming down at Blue.

Groaning inwardly, Blue wished that the earth would just swallow her whole. This is going to be an awkward breakfast, she cringed inwardly at the conversation about to take place.

"Anyway, you two get ready, breakfast is almost done." With a quick smile she left the room, closing the door behind her.

"Dude, that was fucking surreal just now. Is your mum okay? She's not going to turn psycho on me for spoiling her innocent son, is she?" Bennett could see the wheels in her head spinning, her eyes scrunched up in concentration. "I can jump out of the window and move to the next state and everything will go back to normal..." she trailed off, verbalizing her thoughts.

"Get up and don't stress. Mum's cool." he laughed. "I'll see you downstairs okay? Don't take too long."

Finally alone, Blue jumped into the sweats that were too baggy for her. She tossed them aside and put her jeans back on. She pulled the sweater over her head. Sighing as she looked at herself in the mirror. What was it with boys and their oversized clothes? Biting the bullet, she slowly descended the stairs, the smell of coffee and bacon tickling her nose, which was enough for her to enter the kitchen.

"Come sit down, I'll get you some bacon and eggs." Chrissie smiled widely at her.

Once they were all seated Chrissie turned to Blue. "Well, now that you have... you know... done the deed, by when can I expect grandchildren and should we already start looking at wedding venues?" she said in all seriousness.

Feeling like she could die of embarrassment at any moment, Blue stared in horror at Bennett who seemed to be avoiding her eyes. Suddenly both Bennett and his mum burst out in hysterical laughter.

"You should see your face!" he laughed loudly and then stopped when he saw the angry look on her face.

"Bennett!!!, this is the last this world will see of you when I'm done." she swatted at him, with a scowl on hers.

"How is this my fault? It was mum's idea to do play the prank on you! Blame her not me." he put his hands up to show he was only a bystander and not the bus driver. Blue's eyes widened as she computed what she just heard. Then she belts out a deep gleeful laugh,

"Good one Chrissie!"

She turned to Bennett. "So we didn't...?" she questioned pointing between him and herself.

"No," he laughed at her. "I'm gay, so that relationship was doomed from the start." He laughed again at the thought.

Chrissie immediately turned around in shock. "Bennett, you are gay? But when did this happen? Is it a phase? I'm so confused right now." she gasped clutching her chest.

Looking over to Blue, it looked like she was ready to have a mini heart attack listening to their conversation. "Muuuum, leave her alone!" Bennett laughed getting up to hug his mother.

"Wait, what?" Blue asked, her eyes darting from one to the other, clearly confused.

"It's a joke. Mum has been dying to try that one ever since I came out." he said rolling his eyes at his mother whose shoulders were still shaking with laughter.

"Sorry Blue, I didn't mean to upset you, if I did." She smiled at her. "It was only a bit of fun." The corners of Chrissie's mouth were twitching with laughter. "Okay, I'll leave you alone now. See you guys later." she waved and was out of the kitchen.

"Dude! Why didn't you tell me you're gay?" she asked slapping him on the shoulder.

"Dunno. Why didn't you tell me you're straight?" he countered.

"Fair point." she said getting up to take her dishes to the sink. She decided to stay over for the rest of the day, to take things easy.
