"Get down on the fucking ground!"

I blinked and focused on the metal object that was pointed directly at my head. I was quite literally staring down the barrel of a gun.

I drew my eyes away and found myself looking around the room. Everyone else that was once waiting lay flat on the ground, one or two looking back at me with terrified expressions.

"Do you want to die?"

The same voice asked me a question now but my voice refused to respond, in fact my body refused to respond.

A hand grabbed my upper arm and shuck me, forcing me to turn face to face with a different figure. His face was also covered with a similar balaclava. The only feature I could see was his eyes... so familiar.

"Lay down"

Two simple words that I found myself listening to as I slowly lowered myself till I lay on my stomach.

The man knelt beside me and I anticipated what would happen to me next. I internally begged that I wouldn't die here like this.

I clenched my fists as I awaited my end.

A light pressure on my clenched fist drew my eyes towards my hands that reached out in front of me.

The gloved hands of the man that knelt beside me was slowly moving my fingers out of there tucked away position until they were flat on the ground.

I watched his slow actions, firstly concentrating on the movement but then the mans slightly risen shirt sleeve. A thick scar decorated the inside of his wrist and I presumed it traveled up his forearm.

Then he quickly retracted his hand before he stood abruptly and strode away.

I watched as the disguised men rushed around the room and shouted at the bank workers. I witnessed them stuffing cash into bags and waving guns around like the thought of killing someone didn't bother them at all.

I wasn't sure exactly how long I lay on the floor watching the scene unfold in front of me. Although I know it was only minutes after the last robber left my sight that sirens could be heard outside.

Officers came rushing in, head to toe in protective gear and guns raised but it was already too late. The thieves were gone and I had to admit that I didn't believe they would be caught.

It was over.

It was over
