There had been many times throughout my life I'd heard the saying "love will make you do crazy things" but I never really understood the phrase.
Well, not until I met him.
He was the definition of chaotic, the definition of crazy and dangerous but y...

Viola turned her head and started at me, realization finally kicking in.
"Callie..." she began
Her eyes were wide and I could tell she was in shock. She'd almost literally frozen to the spot.
"No way did you do this" she continued
"I did"
She suddenly released an excited squeal as she done a short celebratory dance on the spot.
"You're the best!" She shouted as she jumped forward and wrapped her arms around me in a bone crushing hug.
I returned the hug with a huge smile plastered on my face.
I knew she would be over the moon that I'd managed to book us a table at her favorite restaurant for her birthday.
The place was high class and that meant expensive too. It was also fairly hard to get a booking which is what made this whole surprise even better.
"Let's go! I'm starving!"
I laughed as she grabbed my hand and led me inside.
The LED lights shine brightly in the waiting area creating a blue glow. The walls glittered and floors shined.
"Good evening ladies, what's the booking name?" The man as the front desk asked
"Callie Thomson, table for two" I answered
His eyes scanned through the list before he finally looked back up to us with a smile.
"If you'd like to follow me this way"
We nodded and followed the man through the busy restaurant. Everyone there looked so high class.
"Any special occasion, ladies?" He asked attempting to make conversation
"My birthday" Viola immediately answered
"Oh well then I wish you a very happy birthday" he said while offering an even bigger smile towards Viola.
"Thank you" she replied as we reached our table.
We had a booth that was lit up with golden fairy lights and table decorated with gold and red roses.
We were also within view of the bar In case we decided to go wild on the drinks.
"I really can't believe you got us a booking, I'm so grateful for you" Viola said as she sat.
"Well you deserve the best for your birthday" I replied honestly
She then hurriedly took out the menus and I watched as her eyes scanned over the pages in awe.
"It's so hard to decide" she concluded
I laughed and looked down to read the menu myself.
After a good ten minutes Viola had finally come to a decision so she signaled over the waiter and placed our orders.
Viola was half way through telling the story of her tenth birthday when she discovered she had a fear of clowns when she paused and started looking confused.
Her eyes were no longer looking at me but towards my left.
"Viola?" I spoke
"Callie I think that Achilles might be stood by the bar"
Not even thinking about what I was doing, I spun my head around and looked at the bar.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It was him.
He hadn't changed at all in the three months. He was still dressed smartly and hair jelled neatly.
He still looked breathtakingly handsome.
His jaw was tensed as he listened to the two men that stood in front of him. He definitely didn't seem pleased.
I couldn't see the two men's faces as their backs were toward me but I could that Achilles held some distaste for them.
"Should I get his attention?" Viola piped up
I quipped my head towards her as fast at lightning
"No!"
She raised her eyebrows with a questioning look.
"Why not?" She asked
"I haven't spoken to him since that night at the club, so no"
"But-"
"A definite no" I cut her off
"Fine"
I watched as she sipped a little of her drink before looking back at we with a suspicious gaze.
Don't you dare
"Achil-"
"Arthur!" I shouted over her
She snickered when hearing my attempt at a cover up.
I slowly rotated my head to look in Achilles direction only to regret it when I found three pairs of eyes looking at me.
My eyes quickly ran over the stern faces of the two men before they locked on Achilles.
I inhaled a deep breath as he stared back.
I tried to read his face but I couldn't, he didn't give anything way. His jaw was still tensed and lips pressed in a straight line which only made me assume he wasn't pleased.
I couldn't bring my eyes away from his stone cold ones. Then he looked away an gave his attention back to the men in front of him.
He didn't care that I was here, he wasn't interested.
Why did it bother me?
He was the same stone cold and arrogant man he was when I first met him.
"Yes?"
My eyes snapped to the elderly man sat at a table a few metres away.
I looked at him confused before my mind finally clicked.
"Arthur" I repeated with a smile
"Do I know you?" He questioned unsure
"Oh no, sorry just a misunderstanding. I thought I seen someone else I knew called Arthur" I lied
He nodded before looking back towards his wife.
When I looked back at Viola, neither of us could hold in our laughter any longer.
