Somehow I'd done it.

I stared down at the printed ink. It was a moment that younger me would have been proud of.

yet the current me couldn't quite decide whether to be happy or to start planning my funeral.

"I'm so happy for you Callie!"

I smiled towards viola who also held the first printed article that had my name written underneath it.

"It wouldn't be possible without you Vi"

"Well I am pretty amazing aren't I" she joked

"You really are"

That was the truth. I didn't deserve to have a friend like her, I couldn't even imagine her reaction if she finds out what I had done.

I would be certain to lose her.

"We should celebrate tonight!" She exclaimed excitedly

"Oh, I don't think that's necessary"

"Oh please Cal, when is the last time we went out and did anything fun like that? You've been distracted lately so I think it will be good for you"

I really am undeserving of her.

"Fine, okay we will" I gave in

"Really? It's going to be great"

We figured out the rest of the details before parting our ways knowing we both had work to do.

Perhaps a night out would be good for me, it could clear my head of all that has happened and by that I meant Achilles in particularly.

When he had suddenly decided he needed to rush to leave at our last encounter, he had left me with an uncomfortable feeling that I felt could only be released by him.

The logical side of me felt guilty for feeling attracted to the man. Of course I knew it was wrong and that's why I desperately pushed all the thoughts away.

I looked through my wardrobe while coming to the conclusion that I needed to do some shopping.

I hated spending unnecessary money and my empty shelves showcased that.

"Guess this will have to do" I huffed while pulling out a red knee length dress.

It was made of silk material that clung to my body but loosened ever so slightly at the bottom. The split on the side was thigh high and its spaghetti straps with slight cowl neck allowed more skin to be shown up top.
