I rolled on to my side but immediately regretted the decision.

I sat up quickly in pain.

"Fuck!" I hissed.

I peered down at my bandaged arm in confusion. I couldn't remember anything after falling over beside the front door.

Movement in the corner of my eye caught my attention.

Achilles was slumped on the floor leaning against my wardrobe.

He shuck his head slightly before making a move to stand up.

"Darling"

His voice was rougher than usual, his hair was messy and his shirt wasn't tucked in. Even his shoes were missing.

Had he just woken up?

"What happened?" I rasped out

"I was planning on asking you the same thing"

He walked towards me and sat at the edge of my bed.

His eyes glared at the bandage wrapped around my arm.  When he moved his eyes up to meet mine, I seen his shoulders slightly relax.

"Are you okay? Are you in pain?" He questioned

I shuck my head in response whilst trying to gather my thoughts.

"This man..."  I began

I closed my eyes and mentally pictured the scene in my head.  The way he glared down at me, only his eyes in view and the smell of tobacco which indicated he was a heavy smoker.

"I was walking home, he was following me so I tried to run but..."

"Go on" Achilles encouraged when I paused.

He placed a hand on my leg and gently squeezed. The action helped me calm down.

"He pushed me, twice and I fought him but he had a knife"

Achilles listened to my every word. I could see his jaw twitching with what I could only assume was anger.

"Did you see his face?"

"He was wearing a mask... just like the first man" I explained

He released a huff before dropping his eyes down to his hand that rested on my leg. His thumb was creating a circle motion which tickled my skin.

"How did you find me?" I questioned

"I wanted to see you, thought you might've been missing me" he smirked

Suddenly his hands slid underneath my knees, he gripped me gently and tugged me forward so that my legs were either side of his waist.

I immediately felt my cheeks flush.

"I didn't like what I saw when I arrived here darling... I never want to see you injured again"

If it wasn't for our close proximity, I don't think I would've heard his words. His eyes looked sincere as he spoke which warmed my heart.

"I'm glad you found me" I told him honestly

I couldn't imagine anyone else finding me and having to explain things, or even worse, someone else finding me dead.

"I'll always find you" he whispered while dropping his eyes to my lips.

I glanced my eyes down to his lips when I seen them move again.

"Just like i'm going to find who's responsible for your pain. Then I'm going to make them regret the day they were born"

Suddenly a gust of wind danced through the room causing my already half open bedroom door to collide with the wardrobe behind it. The sound of the collision brought me back to bang that echoed after I pulled the trigger.

I fell back off Achilles lap and onto my bed as breathing increased.

"Breath" he commanded

His hands gripped my shaking calves gently as his thumb traced the skin beneath.

"In and out Callie, breath in and out darling"

I listened to his words and focused on the feeling of his hands. I found myself pondering how rough hands could be so gentle.

"I pulled the ... trigger" I breathed out

"You pulled the trigger?"

My eyes now locked with Achilles as he waited for both an answer and explanation.

"It's why he left" I whispered "He was in pain"

"You shot him"

I couldn't tell if I was imagining the smile that seemed to be creeping onto his face.

"You shot him!" he repeated almost happier this time.

"yes"

"Then we must be somewhere else immediately"

His voice came out almost cheerful which only perplexed me. The thought of a man shot should be far from a cheerful one. I suppose only Achilles could find the happiness within the evil.

He quickly strode to the wardrobe slinging the doors open without a care for its delicate hinges.

"You must get dressed quickly, we cannot waste any more time" His voice echoed authority as he spoke.

Glancing over his shoulder, he locked his eyes with mine before speaking.

"I have an appointment to put a bullet in a gentlemen's heart"
