Jay's POV

My baby brother is alive! I was slowly losing hope that he would survive out there as a little pup but I am glad a human found him and has been taking care of him.

Jake has always been different from the rest of us. He looked more like a dog than a wolf which made him look weak in their eyes and in our father's eyes. He kicked him out five years ago when he was just a pup. I convinced our mom to leave the pack with me and she hesitated but agreed. 

We quickly found a new pack when I stumbled across an omega who was hurt. His name is Yang Jungwon he told me. My wolf whimpered at the sight of the omega. We both knew, Jungwon is our mate. So, we managed to convince him to let us join his pack and the alpha of his pack agreed.

"Morning, Jay.", A pack member greeted me and I smiled, returning it.

"Morning, K.", I said as I opened the fridge, going for the milk before shutting it.

"Jungwon was looking for you yesterday. Where did you go?"

I immediately smiled at the mention of his name. My mate.

"I went out on patrol. I thought I told him.", I said sheepishly, knowing I forgot again.

K made a tsk sound and shook his head.

"You always forget. How are you going to be our new Alpha if you're this forgetful?", I chuckled at him calling me his new Alpha.

"I respect Alpha Yeonjun a lot. His decision to pass on the mantle should be only his.", K rolled his eyes playfully.

"I know that. Ugh, you're so boring.", He joked before continuing to eat his bowl of cereal.

I just drank my usual cup of milk before starting the busy day.

"I'm going."

"Yeah yeah.", I chuckled and shook my head.

The first stop, a meeting with Alpha Yeonjun and his son, Jungwon. Also known as my mate.

"Jay, have a seat.", I nodded and sat in the seat to the left of him as Jungwon sat in front of me. He looked at me with a shy smile for no reason. I looked at him confused before he just directed his attention to his father.

"As you know, I have to pass the mantle of Pack Leader and Alpha soon."

"I called you here because you're the only wolf I trust in leading the pack in the future.", My eyes went wide.

He's really passing it on to me? Why me?

"Uh, thank you but why..me?", He chuckled and his eyes turned a lighter colour.

"Jungwon told me he has felt a bond with you, Jay. You're his mate, yes?", I snapped my head to my mate as he looked at me shyly.

He knew all this time and didn't bother to tell me?

"Yes but I didn't think he knew that.", I glared at my mate playfully but a tinge of seriousness behind it.

"I think you guys really do look good together. The pack members think so too and think you can lead the pack together."

I felt so honoured and happy. My wolf was whimpering at the chance to mate Jungwon after two years of painful holding back.

"Wow, that's an big honour. I won't disappoint you, Alpha.", he smiled and nodded, patting my shoulder.

"I know you won't."

Me and Jungwon left the Alpha's office together and was silent before I broke it. I turned to him and pulled him into a hug as he squealed.

"You dummy! You knew all this time and didn't tell me?", I said with a chuckle.

"I-Uh, We-well, you know I'm shy! Y-You should've said something a-about it first. You're t-the du-dummy..", my wolf whimpered again at the sight of his cute expression.

I couldn't help but lean in and attached my lips to his. We have been dating for a year now but it's only now that we can finally act like mates. I pulled away from the kiss and rested my forehead against his.

"I love you, my mate.", Jungwon giggled.

"I love you too, Jay but you haven't marked me.", he just had to say it.

I pulled away to look into his eyes as Jungwon smirked.

"You're really mean, you know that?", he shrugged.

"I'm not going to show mercy this time. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I wouldn't want it any other way. Besides, we have to mark each other."

Let's just say, we went like wolves fighting with each other. It was rough but still loving. We both marked each other and the surprise Jungwon got when he woke up put a smile on my face.

"It's beautiful..", he said as he traced his mark on his collarbone which was of a moon. I smiled as I rested my chin on his head, arms around his waist.

"Like it's owner."

Jungwon's cheeks flushed red and I chuckled at the sight.

"You're such a flirt."

"Wanna see mine?", Jungwon's eyes lit up as he nodded eagerly.

I chuckled and untangled my robe, exposing my back shoulder and a slight red mark of a cat shape on my right side.

"A cat?", Jungwon looked confused himself.

"I was confused too but I think it really fits you. You look like a cat anyways.", I teased him as he hissed just like a cat, smacking my chest softly.

I finally marked my own mate. I have to tell Mom and Jake soon! They'll be so happy to hear this!
