Sunghoon's POV

I sat on the stool at the kitchen table and put my head in my hands as Jake rubbed up and down my back comforting me.

"On the bright side, you're one of us now.", Jake beamed as I looked at him, letting out a chuckle.

"Yeah. I guess that's better than having feelings for a different species...", I whispered the last part so he couldn't hear.

"So, what is your wolf's name going to be?"

I turned to him, confused.

"You name your wolves? Aren't they like..apart of you?"

Jake smiled and shook his head.

"See, your wolf is like a different person to say. It will act different and think different. You might see through their eyes but they are in full control. Of course, this only applies for beginners. Alphas like Yeonjun might have full control because they have mutual respect for each other."

"So I have to earn my wolf's respect in order to control them?", Jake laughed softly and nodded, ruffling my hair.

"That's it. You're a fast learner!", Hearing him compliment me made my cheeks flushed red.

"But, what about yours? Do you..have one?"

His smile faltered for a second before he smiled, close-lipped.

"I don't have one. There's a reason why my dad threw me out. One was I couldn't change on command and my wolf is a dog."

Oh. I guess that makes sense. He couldn't have a wolf because his wolf is actually a dog.

"But your dog is cute though! Don't be too upset, Jakey!", I patted his head, trying to cheer him up.

"Heh, I guess he is huh?", He asked with a silly smile.

"I see you guys are getting real comfortable with each other.", A familiar voice rang through the kitchen. My eyes went wide, almost bulging out. I turned to the source of the voice so fast, I almost got whiplash.

"Dr. Heeseung?! I mean-Heeseung..why-", He laughed heartily and walked to me, ruffling my hair.

"I'm the pack doctor. Yeonjun is a friend of my dad so I offered to help his pack even though I'm a lone beta."

Heeseung is a werewolf too?! How did I not sense it?

"You didn't sense it because you're not experienced in smelling out other werewolves plus I can hide my pheromones pretty well.", He explained with a smirk.

Heeseung turned to Jake who was looking at him with narrowed eyes.

"Jake Shim. You are Jay's brother?"

"Yeah. What about it?", Jake asked almost defensively.

Heeseung laughed, holding his hands up.

"Calm down there. I was just wondering if I could take Sunghoon over here. Do you mind?"

I raised my eyebrows at Heeseung as he just winked at me. What surprised me was that Jake wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me towards him.

"No. We have more important things to do."

He pulled me away as we got further and further away from Heeseung. I was confused at what I just saw.

"You are to stay far away from that werewolf.", He said as we entered an empty bedroom somewhere.

"But why? He's my friend.", Jake stopped and turned to me.

"You listen to me, Sunghoon.", His voice took on a serious dark tone.

"I smelt his pheromones. He was the one you met the day I turned right?", My eyes went wide as I gulped nervously.

"No-"

"Don't lie to me!", He shouted at me,scaring me.

He was fuming. I swear I could see his eyes turn red. I was afraid he would actually kill me now. I don't know. Turn into Jake dog version and bite me?

"Yes b-but w-we didn't do an-anything! I swear!"

Wait. Why am I making even explaining myself? It's not like we're dating or he likes me.

"You. are. mine.", He whispered into my ears and it turned my legs to jelly. I'm his?!

"I-I'm yours..?"

He smiled and brushed a hair strand away from my eye.

"You are all mine. My omega."

What..What is this?!

I pushed him away from me and backed away. His smile faltered and a worried look took over.

"Hoon..I'm sorry. Did I scare you? I'm sorry baby.", I snapped my eyes to his when the pet name slipped past his mouth.

"Baby..?"

"You're my baby. Come here baby."

Jake opened his arms wide and it looked so comfy so I walked into his chest as he wrapped his arms around me as I did with his waist.

"I'm sorry for shouting. I just don't trust that werewolf. He'll hurt you."

Heeseung will hurt me? But we've known each other for so long..Surely he's my friend. Right..?

I would trust your mate, if I were you. It seems like he thinks the same as me.
