Andrew always loved playing tricks on people. Of course, that was when he got telekinesis powers, and he never overdid it. No one ever really noticed his powers besides Steve and Matt. When Steve invited him to do the winter Talent Show with him, it took some convincing for Andrew to say yes. The end result was perfection, every kid in the high school besides the three boys were completely awestruck, even Andrew's abusers. For once, Andrew could only feel pure happiness, a rush in his body, overjoyed to finally be loved by all, to finally be in the social circle. If Andrew hadn't put his guard down, gotten drunk for the first time, and accidentally threw up on a red haired girl named Monica, he would've still been floating high, feeling like his best self. Now, he was only crashing down. He always wishes that night went differently, that it was Steve who pulled him into a bedroom and made out with him, that if he did throw up, Steve would only be a little pissed. Just a little, because Andrew was wearing his suit but nothing more. Matt would've been yelling even louder that night, cheers instead of insults the whole ride home. Maybe Andrew wouldn't go home, maybe he would spend the night with Steve, simply falling asleep next to the only man who gave him a chance. But the night went to hell, as did Seattle several nights later. They all fell so far down to the ground. A lightning bolt killed Steve, Andrew was stabbed with a spear, Matt shot through the hand, forced to flee home. Oh, how Andrew so desperately wanted to be on top of the world once more. He didn't know it yet, but he soon would be. And everyone would clap as he performed his acts, which would morph from cards and tightropes to freefalling from insane heights and stealing any camera in his grip just to record himself. So the city, so the country could see, he was on top of the world once more.
