CHAPTER 7 - Over!

Today was the day of Pratap and aparajita's Engagement. The whole palace was decorated beautifully. Everyone was so happy. Aparajita went to the temple of durga maa. She did a Aarti of durga maa and prayed to her for her parents happiness.

Aparajita:- "Maa please make my parents happy and please fulfill my parents all wishes."

Aparajita was really happy today that finally she was going to get engaged to the love of her life. She was deep in her thought

- "Aparajita!"

Aparajita looked up to see her sister mohena standing in front of her.

Aparajita:- "Didi!"

Aparajita hugged her sister. Mohena hugged her back. They were really emotional to see each other after months.

Mohena:- "Aparajita I'm so happy for you!! He is the best partner for you!"

Aparajita blushed.

Aparajita:- "Yes didi!"

Mohena :- "Maharaj pratap will keep you really happy!"

Aparajita was shocked.

Aparajita :- "No didi I'm getting married to rajkumar ranjit."

Mohena :- "No your marriage is fixed with maharaj pratap. He is the groom aparajita!"

Aparajita felt her heart drop to her stomach. She sat down.

Mohena :- "Aparajita!"

Aparajita couldn't think straight all this time she thought she was getting married to ranjit but in reality her marriage was fixed with pratap. She felt as if her whole world was crashing down.

Mohena:- "Aparajita you didn't know that you were getting married to maharaj pratap?! How can you be so clueless about your own marriage?!"

Aparajita started crying.

Aparajita :-" I thought the groom was rajkumar ranjit. I--I-I..... I love rajkumar ranjit didi not maharaj pratap!
I can't get married to him!!!"

Aparajita got up and she ran to her horse chiraag. She sat on chiraag and took off towards the palace. Mohena too sat on one of the horse of the royal soldier and she followed aparajita.

Amar and akshara were in their room.

Amar :- "I'm so happy that our daughter is getting married to maharaj pratap."

Akshara :- "Yes even i'm so happy!! I..."

-"I can't get married to him!!"

They turned to see aparajita standing at the door breathless from all the running. Soon after her mohena came running.

Amar :- "What do you mean aparajita?!"

Aparajita:-" I can't get married to maharaj pratap!! "

Akshara :- "Mohena what is she talking about ?!"

Aparajita:- "I don't love him!!"

Aparajita then told everything to Amar, akshara and mohena. They all were shocked. When she finished she looked at her parents hopefully that they will understand the situation and that they will let her get married to ranjit. But to her dismay the opposite happened.

Amar:- "Forget him!"

Aparajita was shocked.

Aparajita :- "I can't forget rajkumar ranjit father! "

Amar glared at his daughter.

Amar :- "I said forget him!! because nothing is going to change you are getting married to maharaj pratap as decided!!!"

Aparajita :- "But father I told you I... "

Amar :- "You were given the choice aparajita and you said yes !"

Aparajita :- "But I thought the groom was rajkumar.."

Amar :- "I DON'T CARE APARAJITA !!!
YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED TO MAHARAJ PRATAP AND THAT'S FINAL!!! "

This was the first time her father raised his voice at her. She couldn't stop the tears now.

Akshara :- "Aparajita please understand we can't cancel this marriage now. There will be bad consequences of this aparajita ! You need to forget rajkumar ranjit aparajita!! Maharaj pratap is good for you! "

Mohena :- "Aparajita mother is right! I heard lot of bad things about rajkumar ranjit. He is not good for you!

Aparajita :- "But I love him!!! "

Amar :- "APARAJITA !!! "

Akshara:- "please calm down I'll make her understand! "

Amar :- "There is no time for this !! Now She has no choice but to accept this marriage!! If we cancel this marriage then we will lose our respect !! Everyone will laugh at us !!"

Aparajita :- "That's all you care about?!"

Amar :- "Aparajita you are blinded by rajkumar Ranjit's love that's why you are misunderstanding us now! but one day you will thank us! APARAJITA YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED TO MAHARAJ PRATAP AS DECIDED !!!"

Amar strommed off. Aparajita sat down and she started crying.

Akshara :- "Aparajita Please I beg you please!"

Akshara joined her hands in front of apatajita. Aparajita now didn't had any other option but to accept this marriage. She nodded.

Pratap was all ready for the engagement. He was really happy.

Rajmata :- "You are looking so handsome my son!"

Pratap :- "Thank you maa! "

Rajmata:- "You both are so lucky that you found each other! "

Pratap :- "I'm the one who is more lucky maa! Rajkumari aparajita is really a good person."

Pratap blushed.

Rajmata :- "So are you my son! "

Pratap smiled at his mother. Her mother smiled back.

Ranjit :- "Just look at you bhai !"

Rajmata and pratap turned to see ranjit.

Ranjit :- "You look sooo happy!"

Pratap :- "Yes I am ranjit!"

Ranjit :- "Hurry up Bhai Rajkumari must be waiting for you and I don't think you want to keep her waiting because what if she changes her mind..."

Ranjit smiled at pratap. pratap found his behavior more odd than usual.
But he just shrugged it off because he didn't wanted to be upset today.

Pratap and aparajita both were seated beside each other. Pratap looked at aparajita she looked really beautiful.
But aparajita, she was only looking down. It was getting very difficult for to hold her tears back.

Everything was over for her. Her whole life was destroyed. The dreams she saw were crushed. She couldn't do anything to stop the marriage. She was pissed at everyone. She was pissed at ranjit too because not even once he tried to stop the marriage and even now he was busy drinking.

Pandit ji asked them to exchange rings. Aparajita puts the ring on him.
Pratap then puts the ring on her. And with that the engagement ceremony was done. Everyone started to feed each other sweets. And the drums were being played. Everyone was happy besides Aparajita.
