CHAPTER 8 - Ranjit or pratap?

After the ceremony aparajita was in her room. Aparajita lit a fire with some papers in her room She took out all the letters ranjit  had sent to her and she threw the letters into the fire.

  she then threw all the gifts he had  sent to her in the fire.
Her face was neutral while doing everything then Mohena walked in and she saw the fire.

Mohena:- "Aparajita!"

She quickly called the maids and they threw some water and sand on the fire and the fire was extinguished.

Mohena:- "Aparajita! Are you okay?! What the hell were you doing?!"

Mohena shook aparajita but she didn't budge. She was still sitting there with the same neutral expression.
Mohena then slapped aparajita. And only then aparajita looked at her sister.

Aparajita :- "Everything is finished!!"

Aparajita started crying. Mohena hugged her sister tightly. Aparajita cried her heart out on the shoulder of her sister.

Aparajita:-"He promised!! He promised me didi that we will get married!! And now when I'm getting married to someone else...... he didn't even do anything!!! WHY?!! WHY DIDI?! Did he even love me ? I LOVED HIM WITH ALL MY HEART!! and that's what I got in return..."

Mohena:- "He didn't deserve your love Aparajita. He never did."

Aparajita kept crying.

Throughout the all functions of the wedding aparajita was quiet. She didn't say anything to anyone.
Her parents could understand her feelings but they knew that ranjit was not a good match for aparajita. He could never keep her happy And they knew that one day aparajita will understand everything.

Finally today was the day of marriage.
Everyone was excited and happy.
Currently Aparajita was in her room She was ready in her wedding attire.

-"Aparajita!"

Aparajita turned to see ranjit he was the last person she wanted to see Right now She glared at him.

Aparajita :- "What are you doing here?!"

Ranjit:- "I'm here to take you with me aparajita!"

Aparajita :- "What do you mean?!"

Ranjit:- "Let's runaway together aparajita! We will get married !"

Aparajita :- "Wow Now you are here!! All this time where were you?! Not even once you tried  to talk to me!! Not even once you tried to solve the misunderstanding!"

Ranjit:- "I did! But you didn't listen!"

Aparajita:- "Are you serious?! After that you didn't even look at me!! You completely ignored me!!"

Ranjit :- "I'm sorry but now we have time!!"

Aparajita :- "No!! I'm not coming with you!"

Ranjit was shocked. He thought aparajita will agree to runaway with him His plan was failing.

Ranjit :- "But why?!"

Aparajita:- "It's too late now!! I accepted my fate now ..for the sake of my parents!"

Ranjit:- "I don't care!"

Aparajita:- "But I do! I  care about my parents And I aparajita rajkumari of santok accept this marriage!"

Aparajita glared at him Ranjit was shocked He never saw this side of aparajita before. Mohena came to take aparajita with her to the mandap.

Mohena:- "Aparajita The pandit has called you. "

Mohena was shocked to see ranjit there She looked between the two of them Ranjit had shocked expression on his face and aparajita, she was glaring at him.

Aparajita:- "Yes didi."

Aparajita didn't even gave ranjit a second  glance. she walked away with mohena.

Mohena:- "What was he  doing there, aparajita?"

Aparajita:- "He wanted me to runaway with him."

Mohena:- "What?! "

Aparajita:-" But I refused Because this marriage is important for my parents and they are important for me."

Mohena smiled at her sister.

Mohena brought aparajita to the mandap Pratap looked at aparajita She was looking beautiful He couldn't take his eyes off her.

For a brief moment their eyes met Pratap felt like the world has disappeared and Only him and aparajita were there.

Sourabh:- "Control your emotions maharaj! She is all yours just wait for some more time."

Sourabh whispered in pratap's ears.
Pratap blushed. Aparajita sat down beside pratap And the rituals started.
