Smiso's POV
Laying on the bed is the woman who owns my life. The woman I live for. I tried sleeping last night but I couldn't. I kept on tossing and turning I ended up starring at this beautiful sight next to me wondering how my ancestors begged hers so that she can be mine.
I get of the bed carefully not wanting to wake her up. I know traditionally she wasn't supposed to be here before her lobola day but knowing her uncles I wouldn't have it any other way. We're leaving before 6am so I'll wake her up around five o'clock. I quickly take a nice hot shower so sooth my muscles. Trust me I need it. I can't wait for Nosi and Nkosi to run my businesses I have to retire. Running multi million dollar companies isn't a child's play.
I Finished showering, I lotioned up and dressed in my black shorts. I decided to grab a fruit or something since it only going to be an hour before I wake her up. She needs the rest shame.
Going downstairs I find Linda having coffee I guess I'm not the only one who's stressed.
"Bafo" I say and he looks up to me and sighs.
"Looks like I'm not the only who can't sleep." He says sipping on his coffee.
"Yeah, you can say that again bafo eish." He looks at me then get a mug and pour coffee for me then we move the show to the poolside bar. He just stares at the water and says nothing."I had that dream again" he says not looking away from the water.
"The one of a female wolf?" I asks and he nods. Still Starring at the water.
"I don't understand because Bab Ngema said nothing about it. You've been having the same dream since you saw Nosi. I don't get it." I say and he sighs."Me and you brother, me and you."
Ever since he laid his eyes on Nosi he's been having a strange dream of a female wolf and in that dream Nosi is next to the wolf ushering it towards our gate.
"And you, know what's up you ass." He asks and I sigh."Lendaba ka MaDlomo. Ing'bambe ngamasende ish." I say and he laughs, Fool.
"You're not the only one. We're also worried and the fact that Bab Ngema disappeared isn't helping." He says. Im worried something is not right.
"Remember we're doing this for her. After the negotiations I'll rip his limbs one by one. I don't tolerate rape bafo especially since that person is our daughter. That old man has another thing coming. Let's make this day a day our wife will remember then after that that old man's as good as dead." He says leaves just like that.
In this family if there's something we don't tolerate even from our own men is rape. You rape you die simple. My phone rings and it's my daughter.
Me: Nosibusiso.
Her: hey dad.. we've just arrived. I called mom but she wasn't picking up the phone so I called you.
Me: ngiyabonga ninjani nina.
Her: were good dad just checking in. I kinda miss you though. This child
Me: kinda princess.
Her: I'm joking dad. I miss you guys but it looks like you son doesn't.
Me: ok... please be safe and remember to always have you phone with you.
Her: yes dad I promise. Extend my greetings to the family. By daddy.
She cuts the call. Fuck I'm a girl dad. I love that girl like she's my own....no scratch that she's mine and I'll protect her with my life.
2 hours later.
"Ok girls do you have all the things you need" we ask the women because well it's women I'm talking about.
"Yeah we do. Geez." That's Thandeka. My brother's woman is something else I tell you. Sweet kind and feisty. Never fall for her smile she kills smiling at you.
