OLIVIA'S P.O.V.
"You know what else I found out?"
"What?"
"Josh wants a sister. Or a brother, but he'd prefer sister."I looked down at Jaden, not really being sure what to answer. I would love another kid. Especially with him. But, there goes a problem with me not being able to get pregnant.
"What's wrong love?" He asked as he brought his hand to caress my cheek.
We were laying on a couch, and his head was previously on my chest as we were cuddled up.
"You know I can't have more kids."
"So?"
"Jaden, I can't get pregnant. It's physically impossible to."
"Again, so? If you want another kid, we could try adoption. That's always an option. We could make someone happy, while making us happy too."
"B-but we-" I cut myself as tears started streaming down my face. It's not even about adoption, I thought about it hundreds of times. It's just that I feel like I'm broken and not working. I know he wants me to be pregnant, especially because he wasn't there during my pregnancy with Josh. And I feel like Josh would look at me differently if we adopted kid and I didn't birth it. I'm a big insecure, and so others people's opinions affect me a lot and I care about it.
"Liv, baby, it's okay, we don't need to adopt another kid. I mean, I always dreamed about having normal parents but I never got them. You probably did too. That same way Josh can dream about another sibling." He chuckled as he scooted a liitle up, so he hugged me around my head.
"Mommy why are you crying?" I heard Josh ask, making us pull away as I quickly wiped my tears.
"I'm not crying baby."
"Yes, you are." He said as he climbed on top of my and Jaden's legs so he would sit on my lap."I can see your cheeks and nose are red. That happens when you cry. Don't cry mommy, you have me and daddy to make you happy." He tried comforting me as he got comfortable on my lap and pulled me in a hug.
"C'mon daddy, let's make mommy happy." He pulled Jaden in a hug with us as he kissed my cheek.
This kid will be the death of me. He is too fucking adorable. Literally too good to be on this cruel world.
"Look mommy, I build up another tower." He pointed to space in the middle of a big connected area where he was playing previously.
"Woah baby, that's a nice one."
"Yeah, I know!" He giggled, making both Jaden and I giggle with him."Chicky, you wanna go bring me my phone?" Jaden asked as he tickled Josh's foot, making him laugh as he tried to stop him.
"I'll go, stop tickling me!" He laughed as he held Jaden's hand.
He ran off to find Jaden's phone. Jaden caressed my cheek, making me look at him.
"What's wrong baby? Why did you cry?"
"It's just- I- I don't know. I mean, there's nothing wrong with adoption. It's just that- I, uh, I wish I could birth more kids."
"I mean, we could also try that- wait what is it called? Artificial insemination?"
"I don't think that can work on me either. Nor I wanna try that."
"Well, it's okay, we don't need another kid." Jaden kissed me before we heard Josh approaching us."Here's your phone daddy."
"Thank you baby." Josh smiled before running off."And for what exactly do you need your phone?"
"To find a dog to buy."
"Ooh. Okay." I leaned on his shoulder as he went on Google, before he handed me his phone."You type faster." I chuckled as I searched up dogs for sale in Melbourne.
"Bernese Mountain Dog?" Jaden read over a puppy name, making me click on it.
"He is so cute."
"Yeah. Screenshot that, but search that breed on internet."I listened to him and did what he said.
It's a very big dog when he grows up, and I always loved that.
"Saint Bernard. He looks prettier." I said as we came across him while scrolling through the pictures.
We searched him up, and turns out he is really good for and with kids.
"Is there any of them being sold?" Jaden asked, so I searched it up. Turns out there actually is. They are selling them in place that is around hour and half away from our home.
"Call them." I pressed on the number that they left and dialed the number.
"Hello?" Someone finally picked up after few rings.
"Hello. My name's Olivia, I'm calling to ask you about the dogs that you are selling." I said as I rushed in Jaden's and mine room so Josh wouldn't hear me.
"Oh, hey. My name is Marissa. I have 10 puppies, 6 of them are females, and 4 of them are males. Males are obviously a little more expensive than females. Males are 1500, and females are 1300. They are 5 weeks, so in week they should be ready to go away from their mom."
"And, so, how are those dogs with kids?"
"Oh, you see, I have granddaughter. She grew up with these dogs, obviously, and they really have a strong bond. Betty, which is our dog, always takes care of my granddaughter. So I think they are really good if you are buying it for your kid to have someone to play with, but at same time take care of them."
"Okay, I'll just need to talk to my h- boyfriend and see with him if we want male or female and then I'll contact you soon." Fuck, I literally almost called him husband, what the fuck?
"Okay, goodbye."
"Goodbye, have a nice day." I hung up before walking out of room."So?"
"Females are 1300 and males are 1500."
"So which one do we want?"
"I don't know."
"I'll talk to Josh." Jaden said as he walked away when Josh called him in the bathroom.JADEN'S P.O.V.
"Need help?" I smiled as I walked in the bathroom. I cleaned him and flushed the toilet before he climbed on his little stairs to wash his hands.
"Hey, buddy." I stopped him before he ran off after I washed my hands.
"C'mere, c'mere." I said once he turned around to look at me.
I sat on the edge of his bath as he stood between my legs.
"You wanna tell me if you want a girl or boy puppy? Just so when I talk to your mommy I know which one you want."
"Girl. Then she could give me more little puppies."
"Okay." I kissed his head and let him go to play as I made my way back to Olivia."He wants a female one."
"Okay, I'll call her right now."──────── · · ✦ · · ────────
