chapter 79

December 20th, 2021

JADEN'S P.O.V.

I walked in the house after I got home from the work. I had few meetings today, so I've been kinda busy the whole day.

I walked up the stairs and saw some papers right under the Christmas tree. I'm guessing that they already made their wishlist.

"Guys?!" I yelled, not really being able to find them. I walked out of the house on the deck, seeing them up on the hill in some type of little house, I'm not really sure if there's a name for that thing.

I walked around and made my way there to them.

"Look, daddy's here!" Olivia said, making Josh jump from his seat and run up to me. On his way, he somehow managed to fall and I'm pretty sure he hit something, but he got up and I picked him up.

"Hey baby. Are you okay?"
"No. My knee and elbow are burning." He groaned as he held his elbow while I checked his knee.

"It's okay, it's just a little scratch. Just don't look at it, okay?"
"But- Ow!" He leaned his head to check his knee, even after I told him not to. I knew this would be the reaction.

He had a good scratch on his knee and had blood slowly going down his leg. So when he saw the blood, he started crying.

"Shh shh, don't worry buddy. We'll go fix it now, okay?"
"Okay." I motioned for Olivia not to get up as I made my way inside of the house to the bathroom.

"You can be a strong little boy and hold my arm, yeah?"
"O-Okay." I washed out his knee, making him hiss as he gripped on my arm.

"Now, I'm not going to lie to you, this is gonna burn just a little, but can you be a good boy for me and not scream? You can hold on me as tight as you want." He nodded his head before I started to clean his cut.

He was wincing, but thankfully wasn't screaming. But he did dig his nails into my arm, it's not even a lie.

"There you go. We can put this big plaster on it so you won't need to see it. Okay?"
"But I want my SpongeBob ones."
"They are too small baby. We can put one over this big one if that's gonna make you stop crying."
"It will." I kissed his head as I covered his scratch before putting a SpongeBob flaster on the top of it.

"Here. My good boy. Let me just spray this on your elbow so it heals really really fast, okay?"
"Yeah."

I quickly cleaned up the mess I made before cupping his face and kissing his forehead.

"Can you kiss your place? Just so it makes me feel better." He asked with a pout. It makes me so happy that he finds 'kissing my place' a special thing. Because it was meant to. be a special thing.

"Of course. I was already planning on kissing you there." I smiled as I tilted his head slightly and kissed the place between his eyebrows.

"I already feel better. Only one more kiss and I'm brand new." He pouted his lips, waiting for me to lean down and kiss his lips.

"Brand new now?"
"Brand new." He smiled as he nodded his head, before wrapping himself around me.

"I missed you daddy. A lot."
"I missed you too baby. I saw you made your wishlist."
"Yeah. We did that today."
"Are you excited for Santa?"
"Yeah." He smiled as I walked out of the house and made my way back to Olivia and Alyssa.

"Hey girls." I kissed the top of Alyssa's head, before placing my hands on the table and leaning to kiss Olivia on her lips.

"Hey love. Are you better now baby?" She looked down at Josh as she ran her hand through his hair.

"Yeah. Daddy made me feel better. He even put the SpongeBob on."
"Wow! That's nice from daddy, isn't it?"
"Yeah."
"But you gotta look where you are going okay?"
"I will. I was just excited to kiss daddy." I smiled at him, kissing his nose.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked as I sat beside them, rolling up the sleeves on my shirt. It's immaculately hot right now, and this shirt on me isn't helping.

"Just drawing. Why don't you take off your shirt?"
"I don't know, I was just thinking about doing it." I started to unbutton it, but then Alyssa decided to help me with it. She literally unbuttoned it in a minute.

"That was impressive. I don't even know how to unbutton it that fast." I started as I picked her up and sat her on my lap.

"How are you today princess?"
"Good." She smiled cheeky at me, showing her dimples as she nodded her head.

"I'm glad. I like your little bun-ponytail." I said, not even sure what to call it. Because her hair is short when you pick it up so it almost looks like a bun, but it wasn't necessarily made to be a bun.

"Thank you." She smiled at me, before getting back to her place so she could draw.

Once we got in the house, Olivia hung up their drawings on the fridge.

"The lunch is ready. I kept it in the oven so it doesn't get cold." She stated once I got upstairs after changing myself into some shorts.

"Let's have a pool day again!" Josh said from the living room as he was playing with Alyssa and Yola.

"Livvy?"
"Sure. After lunch, because now the sun is the worst."
"Okay."

I helped her set up the table before we all ate.

She disappeared in our room for some time while I just laid down with kids on the couches after I finished doing the dishes.

"Let's get you guys in your swimsuits so we can go out."
"Yayy!"

Once we got out, I was the first one to get in the water.

"Okay, just slowly walk in, because it is warm out but the water isn't the same temperature, okay?" I told Josh that was walking in the water on the little steps.

"Are you girls coming in?"
"Yeah." Olivia nodded her head, before looking down at Alyssa.

"It feels so good." Josh said as he was floating with his swimming pads.

"Are you peeing?"
"No, why?"
"I thought you said that it feels good because you're peeing." I laughed as I poured the water on his head.

"Daddy!" He laughed as he looked through wet strands of his hair that were falling on his face.

I laughed at him, before moving his hair back.

Olivia was sitting on the steps while Alyssa slowly walked around her.

And then they soon walked all the way in the water. Well, Olivia was basically crouched down on Alyssa's level as she was maybe a little deeper in the pool.
