Pack Law, Book 1, Chapter 1, Paragraph 6.1
Each werewolf has a destined mate out there for him/her. Both werewolf partners must be completely loyal to one another. Though Loyalty is a must, it can happen, that before the mating one partner has one or more children. This MUST be accepted by the other mate.
James POV
I was allowed to leave the class earlier, because Mrs. Long had to go to a funeral. So I walked to the classroom where my mate was. My mate, I was surprised and thrilled. I knew she wasn't completely honest when she told me why she moved, but she barely now me. She will learn to thrust me eventually, right? I sat down in front of the classroom listening to the voices reading poems. Suddenly I hear the sweet voice, I've been dreaming of all day. The hurt in her voice was well hidden, but certainly there. My wolf howled and whined eager to protect her and kill anyone who dared to hurt her. I clammed my teeth together to not let the sounds escape. When she was done a silence fell over the classroom. 'That was a beautiful poem, Caitlyn.' The teacher said. Caitlyn sighted: 'Thank you, Miss.' The teacher clapped her hands and said: 'Well, children. It time to go home.' The class got up and walked outside.
I grabbed Caitlyn's hand and led her aside from the rest. 'I taught you said. you had to leave because you had a fight with the Luna.' I said teasingly, as I brushed a stray lock from her face. 'I did.' She said, wrapping her arms around herself. I waited. She sighted and a tear escaped her face. 'My mother was my Luna.' She said. I grabbed her and held her close to my chest. She cried in my shoulder and I held her close, promising her no one would ever hurt her again. After a while the crying became less en she pulled herself from me. 'Randy and Mandy are going to the mall. You want to go with them or shall I drop you of at your house?' I asked, changing the subject. She still hadn't told me everything, but that didn't mind. 'I need to go home she said. so I drove her home.
Caitlyn POV
James took me home and excused himself, because he had to arrange something's. I felt hurt he had to go, while I knew he couldn't stay anyway. I refused to believe my wolf who was howling for him. My mate. I wanted to be with him, but I knew I couldn't. Mindlessly I got my bicycle out of the shed. It was a black thing, with a child seat at the front and one on the back. I drove to the local kindergarten and parked the bike. I walked inside and past the parents there to pick up their children.
'Cat.' 'Cat.' Two happy voices greeted me. Two little bodies pushed against my legs and hugging my knees. I lifted them up and hugged them. 'My little monsters. How have your day been.' Cody, the oldest of the two hugged me. He was five year old and had my black hair and his fathers blue eyes. 'We missed you, Caty.' He said. Carl, the youngest, a little four year old nodded. He was small for his age and had blond hair and same striking bleu eyes as his brother. 'I love u, Cat.' He said, hugging me again. I waved at their teacher and took them outside. I placed Carl on his seat and Cody climbed on his own. I pushed of and drove back home.
I placed to boy in front of the television and putted Peter Pan in the DVD player. As they watched the movie, I cleaned the room and cooked dinner. It was six when the movie was over. After dinner they were aloud, play in their room for one hour before they would go in bath and then to bed. We had a fruit salad, mashed potatoes and chicken. Chicken was Carls favourite meat. He liked to tear the flesh and play with his food. When they were done, I told them to play in their room, so I could wash the dishes. Half past seven I filled the bath and called the boys. They splashed around in bath and played with their boats.
'Caty, tell us a story.' Cody begged as I tucked them in. I sat down in the chair that was in-between their beds. 'Well, I'll tell you the story of the very first Luna.' I said. I always told them werewolf legends as bedtime stories. It was my way of making up for them not being able to go to wolf school. I learned them everything I knew and told them the stories and pack laws. Though they wouldn't shift, until they are at least twelve. I could here a wolf howling outside and I walked to the window, still telling the story. In my front yard sat a big wolf. I quickly finished my story and tucked the children in en kissed them goodnight.
I opened the door and the wolf walked inside. James changed and looked around in my living room. His eyes fell on the drawings that lied everywhere. 'You've got a child.' He said calmly.
James POV
My mate had a child. My wolf growled by the idea that anyone had touched my mate. Cat nodded and looked at the floor. I looked at one of the paintings. 'Boy or a girl?' I asked, ignoring my angry wolf. 'Two boys.' I raised my brows. 'A twin.' Caitlyn shook her head and sighted. 'Look I'm everything they have left, Jimmie.' She said. 'How old.' I asked, ignoring the silent plea in her voice. 'Five and four.' She was now shaking, I assumed out of the anger she couldn't hide. 'But you're seventeen. How?' I asked, not understanding why anyone would have a child as a thirteen year old. Suddenly Caitlyn looked up. In her eyes I saw the fire that I had known to be there. 'Look, Cody and Carl are my children, but I'm not their mother.' She said defensively.
I still didn't understand, but sat down. 'So you're a..' my voice faded. I knew it wasn't okay to ask, but she didn't seem to care. 'A virgin? Yeah.' She said coldly. I smiled at her. She sighted. 'Do you want anything to drink?' I nodded and felt guilty for assuming the worst. 'I'm sorry for..' I started, but I didn't knew how to finish. 'You didn't insult me. I would have thought the same.' She said, pouring me some Jus. We drank in silence for a while. 'Cody and Carl are you're brothers aren't they?' I suddenly asked. Cat looked up surprised. 'Yeah, My half-brothers.' I nodded, though I still didn't understand.
'I heard you work Friday evening and in the weekend.' I said suddenly wondering how her live looked like. Caitlyn nodded, looking at me in wonder. 'Where do the boys stay?' I asked. 'Mrs Bones watches them. I work Friday till from four till eight, Saturday and Sunday from six in the morning till eight in the dinner as a cook. So they stay with her throughout the day and eat there, then I pick them up on my way home. Then they go in bath and to bed.' I nodded. 'Mrs. Bones is a very good babysitter. She's a member of my pack too you know.' I said. Caitlyn smiled and nodded. 'Yeah, I smelled it.'
I brought my empty cup to the kitchen and turned around 'I need to know everyone who is under my protection.' I said, as a mild correction. It was wrong of her to try and hide the boys for me. She nodded and bowed her head again, now I was sure that it was simply to hide the rebellion in her eyes. My mate didn't like to be corrected. ' tomorrow is Thursday. I'll be in the park around four. Take them there. Will you ride with us to school tomorrow?' I asked, she looked up and smiled. 'If it isn't to much trouble.' I quickly continued. I felt ridicules for saying that. I'm an Alpha, I didn't need to ask and certainly not beg. 'Off course.' She said.
She looked uncomfortable. 'You know since I..' She started, but stopped in the middle of her sentence. 'uhhm, my wolf..' she started again. 'You're my mate.' I said as suddenly understood where she was going. She nodded. I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. 'I'm not going to force you into something you can't handle.' I promised. 'We'll take it slow.' I continued. She smiled relieved. 'Thank you for understanding.' She said walking me to the door. I kissed her cheek again, shifted and pounced into the night.
