Pack law book 1, Chapter 24, paragraph 4,5

Each fallen warrior will be honoured with a plate in his pack’s hometown. Every pack must have a statue to honour those that have fallen in battle. This statue shall have the image of a wolf and the face of our goddess: Luna. The moon must be represented in every statue for she will aid the warriors soul in the passing to a different plain.

We assembled on the meadow. The number off creatures gathered was amazing. I looked around and sighted. How many would survive? To many were to young or old to fight, but came with their family members: Parents, siblings, children. Just to watch them march into war. Harold and Dracula looked at me waiting for my sign. ‘Children of the night, Luna’s protégée’s, children of magic let march’  With the last word I threw my head in my neck and howled. I laid my fear and pain in that one howl. That morning James had arranged a wet-nurse to take care of my children today and though neither of us admitted it for if I didn’t come back. I trotted between James and Harold. Dracula and his twelve vampire brides flew above us as bats. The human had to stay behind. The full moon illuminated our path and I could feel its magic in my bones. We entered a clearing and stopped to look at the group that faced us. As much as my group has grown, the other group still had the double size of mine.

James hair bristled and he growled deep in his throat. I whined silently, but regained my bravery and growled loudly. I threw my head back and howled. A howl responded and all hell broke loose. I started running. Dracula shifted and charged. Followed closely by James and Harold. The first collision coloured my vision red. I bit and growled at everything that came to close. I could feel James at my hip and Dracula at my other. I could feel Giddy’s magic whipping around me. I got hold of a throat and bit down. I felt the bones snap between my teeth and nearly puked the corpse out appalled by feeling of killing. I could feel jaw clamp on my throat and tried to twist out of the grip, but nothing was holding me. fear grabbed my heart as I turned around myself and lunged at the wolf that held James in his mouth. I bit down on his leg. Hurt the wolf released his grip. James grabbed his throat and snapped his neck. His licked my quickly and turned back to fight. I felt anger pulse trough my veins and howled piercing. Two hands grabbed my muzzle and a body pushed me on the floor. Suddenly he flew of me. I looked around me and flung at the vampire that had attacked me. I pierced his shoulder and felt his body go limp from blood los. I jumped to the next and smeared my whole body with blood. Near dawn both side retreated, taking our deaths with us.

Overwhelmed by stress and fear I dropped the moment we reached camp. James dropped down next to me. Cries of sorrow echoed around the meadow. James called his pack members and counted them. Mandy and Randy cried for a good friend of them had died and I was to worn out to comfort them. I heard Dracula’s brides cries over Rose. I looked at Dracula who for the first time really looked death. I sighted and fell into a blissful sleep right into the middle of the meadow. I barely woke when James lifted me to bed, shifted and lied down next to me. I nuzzled my nose into his fur and sighted.

A hard noise disturbed my so needed sleep. I jumped up and ran outside. I saw Maggie wrestling with a vampire. The vampire was dressed in a jeans and long-sleeved shirt with a hood and a scarf to cover his face Dracula erupted from his pitch-black tent. Sun burned his bare skin as he rushed to protect his bride to be. His brides cried for him to come back and cover from the sun, but he didn’t doubt for an instance. Heavily weakened from the sun Dracula attacked the vampire. I ran to his aid. ‘James get him into the tent.’ I jumped the vampire and ripped his clothes off. Finally completely naked I bit his neck. Weakened by the sunlight he pretty much died right away. Mandy and Randy escorted Maggie to the black tent and I followed closely. Maggie ran to Dracula who sat leaning heavily in the embrace off his other brides. She hugged him gently. He sniffed in her neck and bit down. They both started moaning. I diverted my gaze from the somehow erotic scene. James caught my eyes. He nodded toward the entrance and left. I followed him quietly. We went to check up on our kids and sighted. We went back to our tent and used the last hours of darkness.

Dusk came way to quickly and again we gathered. The mood was grim. The skies were gray and rain dripped from the clouds. Lighting coloured the woods. My heart pounded on the beat of our footsteps. Growls, hisses and mist pierced through our army. The clearing smelled like blood like the blood that was spilled the night before. My heart dropped when I look at the enemy. Its armies side has barely shrunk. I swallowed my fear. Again we charged. A red haze coloured my day. I tasted blood, heard bones snap, smelled death and felt pain, but I didn’t flinch nor stopped. Again dawn ended our fight. We retreated, but when we jogged onto our meadow awaited us more pain. Randy sat in the middle of the meadow crying her eyeballs out. When she saw James and me she cried even harder. ‘We tried.’ She cried out.

Fear filled my whole being. I ran to the nursery and screamed at the emptiness. ‘Where are they?’ James asked in his Alpha tone. ‘Warner he came and took Mandy and the children.’ Randy cried out. I looked from her to James. He returned my look and nodded. Silently we sniffed the air and followed the scent in the air. My primal instinct took over. Someone dared to take my children. I growled deep in my throat. James echoed the sound. In his eyes shone a dangerous light. The scent grew stronger. Suddenly a female wolf crossed our path. ‘Get out of my way “mom” or you will feel the wrath of a real mother.’ I growled, while James hair bristled. She gave me a wolf smile and howled. I charged. Pure anger pulsed through my veins.

James

Caitlyn’s teeth glittered in the sun as they pieced Carmilla’s skin. Blood poured out of big puncture wounds. The smell of blood filled the air and took its toll from my self-control. Knowing very well my mate wasn’t hurt didn’t help me from wanting to jump in. I growled so hard my throat tickled. Yelping sounds erupted from Carmilla’s throat as she begged for her life. ‘Where are the children.’ Cat shook her head and grabbed hold of Carmilla’s throat. ‘I can’t say Warren will kill me.’ she said. wrong answer. Caitlyn shook her head and neck bones snapped. Cat threw the body out of her mouth and gagged. I nuzzled her and jogged on following the scent of my children and Cat’s brothers. The scent led us past dark wood and into a blazing desert. Though the sun took is toll on me I strained myself to keep up with Caitlyn. Blood pulsed through my veins.

The scent grew stronger as we arrived at some sort of a cave. We stopped abruptly at the mouth of the cave. Growling deeply we looked inside. Without having to communicate we entered side by side. Our hairs were raised and our teeth bare. Darkness seemed to swallow us as we came further into the cave. Suddenly we entered something that looked like a hall. Except the floor stopped half way. ‘Stop right there.’ Warren said. He was holding Carl over the edge. Cat froze and fixed her eyes on Carl. Deep growls rumbled in her throat. Warren smiled and opened his hand
