Prophecy 14,789,879 as written and heard by Alpha-Ultra Arnold Gibson. Prophecy made by Danna Burkoil, Witch

In times to come there’ll be a war. A child of two bloods will arise and assure the safety of all shifters. She will raise an army of all species. For she cannot die of unnatural causes she will die of old age at the age of one hundred and ten. She will raise even the weakest to her war for every life is equal to her. Under her rule the world will know peace.

Caitlyn POV

I ran down the trail with my heart pounding in my chest. I reached the cliff and looked down. I jumped on the roof of James’ car and tore the front window from it’s frame. I felt his pulse and checked him over, he was unconscious, but fine. My little fool he should’ve known this wouldn’t work. I pulled him out of the car and laid him down upon it and looked at the way I came from. No way would I get up that. I wouldn’t even be able to do it alone. I shook James more hoping he would react. I looked both ways looking for an exit. There was no exit to be seen and I sighed.

The canyon went on for a while. I remembered trying to run it down one day. It had stretched as far as I could see and my dad told me later it was a three weeks journey for a shifter meaning it would be a month or more for a human or a were in human form. I sat down in despair and looked both ways. Suddenly a sound behind me caught my attention. I looked back and smiled when James sat up straight.

“Good morning, fool.” I said getting up.

“Good morning.” He said. He looked confused. “Am I dead?” he asked looking around. I rolled my eyes.

“From a car crash? I don’t think so, you’re shifter, Honey. A silver bullet through the heart would’ve worked better.” I said climbing on his lap.

“The doctor said you were.” He said I sighed.

“They got us mixed up. Some other chick died.” James hugged me so tightly I was afraid my ribs would break.

“We do have problem though. There is no way back up.” I said calmly. He looked both way. For a second there was absolute silence.

“Well lets start walking.” He said. We shifted and walked towards the sun. After an hour of walking we walked past a stream. A soft whimpering caught my attention. I looked in the stream and saw a strange looking bird fighting to get out of the stream. I shifted and grabbed the little bird and held it closer to my face. I stared at the little creature in shock. It wasn’t a strange looking bird, it was a fairy.

“Are you okay?” I asked wondering if she could understand. She nodded stood up on my hand and started to wring the water out of her clothes.

“What’s going on?” James asked, while he grabbed me from behind.

“Look, I found a fairy.” I said proudly. The fairy gave me a glare and James started to laugh.

“It’s not a frog or something, honey. You can’t ‘find’ a fairy.” The fairy nodded. I tried to look sorry and said:

“I’m sorry fairy, do you have a name?”The fairy nodded and pointed to the sun.

“Your name is Sun.” James stated. The fairy nodded waved and tried to take off, but her wings were still wet. I grabbed her before she could fall on the ground.

“Shall I bring you home?” The fairy nodded relieved. She pointed the way and soon we arrived in a large cave. Fairy’s flying all over the place. We said goodbye and walked on. The sun was setting quickly and we were tired, but walked on anyway. Around midnight we dropped down on the ground. I threw my head back and howled for help. Any Were that could hear us would react. James followed my lead and howled with a deep voice that would carry far. After an hour we were too tired to continue, we crawled together.  But this time my white fur mixed with his black. We fell asleep.

James POV

The sun woke me. I got up and looked at my still sleeping mate. She must’ve been hungry, so I walked to the stream we walked past yesterday and drank a few sips. I snatched a few fish out of the water and carried them to Cat. I dropped them in front of her nose. In romantic films this usually wakes the girl up, who would thank the hero, that would be me, gratefully. But not Caitlyn she snored and used my fishes as a pillow.

I sighed and tapped her gently on her nose so she would wake up. she opened her beautiful eyes and looked at me. She got up after which she found the fish. With a few quick bites she ate half of them. So much for a romantic breakfast. I pushed her away and ate my half.

“Good morning.” She said in my mind shaking the sleep from her body.

“Good morning.” I said.

“Thanks for the fish.” She said walking to the stream, I walked after her. After she drank a few sips out of the stream I climbed on her.

“What are you doing?” she asked surprised.

“Taking my reward.” I said moving my weight, so it was on my hind legs.

“Oh, okay.” She said.

Caitlyn POV

I dropped down on the floor tired. We haven’t even started walking yet and I was already tired. James dropped down next to me and laid his head on my stomach. His breathing slowed as he fell asleep. I licked his head gently before I laid my head down too but I couldn’t sleep. After a while I gently freed myself and got up. I followed the road a bit and found strange footprints. The seemed feline, but way to big for your average housecat. They were as big as mine. I heard a roar and looked stunned at the big cat that was in front of me. I turned and ran. When I got back to James he was already awake and he looked pissed.

“James, there is a lion here.” I screamed. He shook his head.

“There are no lions here.” I snorted.

“Tell him that.” I growled. James walked towards the direction I had seen the lion. I couldn’t let my mate go alone and followed him closely. Suddenly he stopped and looked at the paw prints in the dust.

“Woops.” He said.

“We’ll go on top speed past his territory. Don’t wait up for me.” He ordered. I rolled my eyes like that would happen. We took off. I matched my speed to his and looked around. The big cat was nowhere to be seen as we passed his territory. Suddenly we heard a scream. We looked in the direction of the sound and sighed. The lion held a strange creature in his mouth. It had a human head and a bird body. I looked at James and sighed. We had to rescue it.
