Pack Law, Book 1, Chapter 20, Paragraph 5.8

The gates of despair. A series of gates guarding the Argentums prison. These gates all have their own way of keeping people from leaving. These magic gates are built by the very first Luna. Her blood will protect the prison. As long as her blood pours through the veins of her spawn these gates will withstand every attack.

 

James POV  

I shook the feeling off me and drove on. Something was up for sure. It was silent in the car, I could only hear Warner whine. The fourth gate doomed up ahead of us.

‘Jimmie, stop the car now.’ Cat demanded. I glanced at her and parked the car on the side of the road.

‘What?’ I asked, as the car fell silent. I turned to look at her and frowned when I saw the worried look on her face.

‘I don’t know. I just know we shouldn’t drive any further.’She said apologizing. I sighed.

‘Caty, be reasonable, we have got to take him to the prison….’ My voice died away, I could hear a motor coming our way. Harold jumped out of the car and walked quickly to Caitlyn’s window.

‘Thank god, I found you. We didn’t’t have your cell phone number.’ I stepped out of the car and walked up to him.

‘Harold, what’s up?’ I asked.

‘These Gates are cursed you fools. Did you never hear of the Gates of despair ?!’ Caitlyn nodded shyly and I felt like a complete moron.

‘So how do we get past them all?’

Harold shook his head and said:‘From here till the eighth gate we’ll walk. After that we deliver them to the mixed ones.’ I nodded and opened the door for Caitlyn and pulled Warner of his seat.

‘Come on you, pussy. I won’t carry you.’

Caitlyn grabbed my arm and said:  ‘Chill, James. We even had trouble with those gates and we’re alpha’s’ I huffed.
