I Fell Again

School Dance

There was one week for the School Dance. Cassie was gonna go with Leo .
His mother had given her a beautiful dress.
" Do you want me to buy you a dress for the school dance?" asked her Aunt.
" No actually my date's mother gave me one."
" Okay."
She looked at the pretty dress his mother gave her. It was white with golden borderline. It looked like those fairytale dresses. 
The week passed by and it was the night of the school Dance.
"When should I pick you up?"asked Leo.
"7 ." replied Cassie.
By 7 she was fully ready she wore the white dress and kept her brown silky hair open.
Leo came in a brown suit with a golden tie.
They both entered the hall together.  This hall which was always crowded with loud voices around and the air that had a smell of sweat was filled with soft music and aroma of fresh flowers.
She told Leo to go ahead and said she'll come.
She stopped to look at the hall.
It was a beautiful sight.
" Cassie." said a voice from behind.
It was Riri. She was wearing a short  leather black dress with silver lining.
Cassie ignored her. Riri just took a deep breath and entered the hall.
She had decided to do something good today.
She saw Zac he was wearing black shirt and black suit .
For her he looked awesome but she looked away, she was recently trying so hard to shut down feelings for him for Leo.
She then looked away .

Zac stood there looking at them.
" You can close your mouth." joked Leo.
"Uh what no I am not opening my mouth."
"She looks pretty."said Leo about Riri
"Yes she does."
Zac was just looking at Cassie .
It was like rest of the people are blur. All the voices muted . Just her in the middle .
He stopped , he knows he cannot look at her that way.
"Well Enjoy."said Leo walking away and taking Cassie's hand.
He held her by the waist and she put her hands on his shoulder and they danced together.
Zac couldn't help but look at her. He stepped on Riri's toes .
" Oh I am sorry." said Zac.
Riri knew he wasn't even looking at her.
"Zac , I think we need to talk."
" Where-"
She dragged him outside the hall.
" Zac we are so formal together."
" Riri , I am trying to work that out."
" It can't be worked out."
" Why?"
" You love her!"
" Her- I er"
" You do , don't deny."
"Riri I-"
"Zac she told me about her crush on you and me being selfish broke her trust and proposed you."
"She had a crush on me?"
"Has."
"You two are made for each other and to be honest I can never be anyone's second choice. Thank you Zac for keeping me happy."
"Riri , Wait ."
" You were a great person but I cannot be a bad friend and hurt her and you both . I don't wanna be a separation between you both. We are over."
"Riri it means a lot to me that you are doing this but I don't wanna see you hurt either."
"I deserve to be hurt ."
"No one deserves to be hurt."
" I hurt Cassie , it's just Karma jumping back at me."
She said this and walked outside and went back home.
She didn't feel hurt like she thought she would rather relieved.
Zac wanted to follow her put but he stayed for a reason he doesn't know.
Meanwhile, Cassie and Leo were dancing .
"You dance so well."said Cassie
"Learnt from my mother."
"Well then you had the best teacher."
She saw Riri walking out without Zac . She felt the urge to go after her.
"Hey, you look troubled!" said Leo
"Nothing, will just be back."replied Cassie
Saying this she went away.
"Riri! Riri! Ri-"said Cassie
"Cassie why did you come out?"asked Riri
"Why are you leaving?"
"I-i am tired."
"B-but where is Zac? And why isn't he with you?"
"We -er broke up."
"Whaa-at!!!"
"It's okay it doesn't hurt me."
"No Riri don't do this to yourself just because of me . I know I have been ignoring you for something that isn't even your fault!!I don't own him , you can be with him it's none of my business!"
"He loves you too. I don't wanna come between two love birds."
" He loves me ?"
"Ofcourse he does, you both are made for each other. "
"Riri I can't do this right now. I am with Leo."
"Oh my God Cassie, look me straight in the eye and say you are in love with him."
"I-i."
Cassie looks down.
"I-i am." said Cassie looking down.
"You are lying with yourself on your own.  He will eventually learn that like I did."
"Riri, it is not that."
"It is , it is Cassie."
Riri walked away saying this.
Cassie stood there frozen for a few minutes before jumping back into reality. 
She didn't know what to think.
Riri's words affected her a lot. She went inside slowly and asked Leo to leave her back.
"Back? Right now? Why what happened?"
"I am tired."
"Okay well then let's go back."
Leo left her back and she went to her room.
" Came back early? " asked her Aunt.
"Yes I did. The dance was boring. "
"Haha even I didn't like school dances. "
"Well I am quite like you."
Cassie went to her room , she came on a conclusion that she doesn’t love Leo.
She never did and even if she tries , she can't.  She wanted to be loyal but she cannot take this anymore and thought about telling this to Leo.
She then sat to study because all this drama won't prevent the exams from coming.  She tied her hair in a bun and had a cup of coffee and sat to study.
It made her forget everything even if just for a second.
