I Fell Again

This Queen Need No King

She spent her first week of her Winter Break with  Fiona. They didn't talk anything about Mallory .
Cassie had a marvelous time with Fiona . She even met Caleb.
She then returned back to Mallory. 
She was just sitting outside on a rather sunny afternoon when she saw Zac coming towards her.
She got up to leave but he stopped her saying to just hear him once.
"I don't wanna hear anything Zac!" said Cassie
"Please Cass , it will just take a minute."
"Fine! "
"Look I know you don't love me or even like me anymore but can we just be friends,  forgetting everything. "
"Look Zac , I can forgive people but I don't forget ."
"Please our friendship means a lot to me."
"No , It will never be the same Zac. "
"Okay  , fine I won't force you but please just talk to Addy atleast. She loves you the most cause you get her the most.  You showed her freedom.  She has never been this happy.  She for the first time feels normal being with you,  and not like a burden. Please how do I explain her why you don't come to meet her anymore ? Please I am begging you. "
"Zac I-i don't know. "
"Fine Thankyou though for changing my life and hers for good like a storm."
He walked away saying this Cassie couldn't look away till he disappeared.  If not Zac , she can do right by Addy.
Thus she regularly called Addy to her house cause she still didn't wanna see Zac's face.

" Why don't we play at my house anymore. "asked Addy.
" Well change of environment is always good." replied
Cassie.
Addy knew Cassie is lying,  she could see it in her face but she replied with a nod.
"How is Zac doing. " asked Cassie.
"He is great but now spends more time studying and in his room."
There was silence after that.
"Okay you play with the play dough , I will be back in a minute and till then call Aunt if you have a problem. "
"Okay Cass."
"Hmm , first Cassie not coming and talking to Zac and then her asking about Zac. Something is definitely up." thought Addy.
She may be a kid but kids are more clever than adults nowadays as they just listen and observe everything around them quietly and innocently.
She then came on a conclusion to reunite Zac and Cassie.
She wasn't sure on the details on how to do so , but she was determined on doing it.
She then heard a loud scream. It was Cassie's Aunt.
She ran outside and saw her Aunt had fallen from the stairs and was severely hurt on her head.
Addy's brain froze, she didn't knew what to do. She started sobbing.  She started calling Zac running towards her home.
Zac saw her and ran out.
"What happened? Where is Cassie? Why were you running?"
Cassie saw Addy and went to her.
"What happened? I told you not to leave the room! " she asked.
"Your you-ur your Au-unt." Addy said shaking.
"Aunt what happened? "
Without seeing anything she ran away from there.
Zac called his mom to start the car and ran after her after handing over Addy to his mom.
"CASSIE! WAIT !!!"he shouted.
He entered her house which was open and saw Cassie's Aunt covered with blood.
"Zac no,  Zac  what am I supposed to do?" She said crying. 
He picked her up and she sobbed on his shoulders and Zac's mom came and lifted Cassie's Aunt and took her to the hospital. 
When they reached the hospital,  Zac's mom told Cassie to call her mother.
She dialed the number , she waited patiently.
"Cassie not now I'm busy. " said her mother.
"Mother, Aunt is in the hospital. " Cassie replied.
"What?!"
Her mother left everything and came to Mallory. 
She sitting in cold with Zac . They weren't talking.  Cassie was just trying to hold back her tears.
That's when her mother came running.
"Where is she? What happened ?" she asked.
"She is in the Ward 10." replied Cassie.
"What happened? How did she fall?"
"From the stairs. "
"And where were you?" she shouted.
"I was out."
"Oh my goodness Cassie! You had one job. You have always sabotaged mine and her relationship. "
"I-i what did I do?"
"She can't see some future that she was supposed to predict what happened! Also it isn't her job to protect your younger sister rather yours. " said Zac.
He wasn't going to interrupt the mother- daughter conversation but Cassie's mother was taking it too far.
"Who the hell are you?" She asked.
"He is my friend. " replied Cassie.
" Ofcourse why not if your eyes will be above boys then only you will see someone else."
"And that's coming from a person who neglected her daughter for years and then sent her away. All this worry you are showing for your sister could have been shown years before.  Did you ever think how much hurt she is mentally  hurt because of you than physically?"
"Shut up! I know my sister better than you."
"You say you do but do you really?"
"You are saying I don't love my own sister?  Cassie who taught you to talk back?"
"I mean it wouldn't be a surprise if you don't love Aunt as you don't love you own daughter.  Mother tell me what wrong have I ever done to you to be so unloved . You made me feel I am incapable of being lovable. "
"That's is because YOU AREN'T MY DAUGHTER! " she shouted.
She regretted it the second she spoke these words but now she can't take these back.
