I Fell Again

Dumb Broke High School Kids

"What?!!" asked Cassie and Zac at the same time.
"Uh well I think it's time you know the truth. I am not your mother. Your Aunt is." replied her mother
"What!!? I don't understand anything! " said Cassie.

"She was in High School Senior , she met a boy and they fell in love , but it didn't last . He got her pregnant and dumped her. She was just 17 when she had you. I told her to ab*rt you but she didn't have the soul to k*ll her own unborn child. That's the reason her ex husband attacked you. You were never mine Cassie." replied her mother ( her Aunt).

"I don't know what to think mother or should I even call you that. Aunt never told me."
"I told her I'll not let her meet you that's why she didn't tell you. "
"Ofcourse, look I am still your own blood, you are my Aunt. The way you treated me was terrible. You could've sent me to Mom."
"I didn't want her to just stick to you , I wanted her to start a new respectful life."
"You just forced her to marry and she is happy with her job and me."
"Look Cassie we can talk about this at home, come on , let's go."
"No I will never go with you."
"CASSIE!"
"YOU AREN'T MY MOTHER, SO YOU CAN'T FORCE ME!"
"Where will you stay huh?"
"Wherever just not with you."

"She'll stay with me. Finally you told her the truth and now she deserves to make her own decisions" said Zac's mom.
"You knew this? " asked Cassie.
"Your Aunt is my best friend since Middle School."
"You never told me this. " said Cassie.
"I wanted to but the circumstances weren't right."
It was getting late and it was freaking cold .
Cassie blocked her 'so called mother' like she used to and went to Zac's home.
"Are you okay." said Zac in the Car.
"I am okay Zac." she lied.

It was 2 am and Cassie was up . She slept in Addy's room and Addy slept with her mom.
Cassie couldn't sleep. She thought the Leo and Zac problem was bad but this was worse.
Her own mother isn't her real mother! Her Aunt is , so her Aunt is her mom and her mother is her Aunt. It was all soo confusing for her.
Zac saw she was up as her room was wide open, she was sitting on the windowsill staring at the Moon shining in the moonlight.

" Cass!" he said quietly.
She turned and wiped her tears and smiled at him asking, "Um Hey, the moon looks pretty today what's keeping you up." said Cassie.
"Uh well I thought a friend requires help." Zac replied.
" I did say I'm fine."
"You did say   but you didn't mean it."
"I-i don't know how to react to all this. "
She couldn't hold back her tears anymore. She felt her voice breaking.
Zac came towards her and hugged her tight.
She started crying on his shoulders.
" You do not have  to pretend to be fine when you are breaking inside." he said
"I know I don't but I just do it anyway. "

He sat with her until she fell asleep on the windowsill.
He covered her with her blanket and kept her door a little open for just incase and went to his room.
The next day , they went to the hospital and came to know her Aunt (her mom) was getting better.
Cassie went inside to talk to her.
"So I came to know you know." said her mom.

"Aunt Uh mom I am really happy to know that you are the one who gave me birth but I don't know how to feel about it Au- mom."
"That word mom, that is the word I wanted to hear since almost eternity. I am glad you called me your mom."

"I don't deserve to be angry cause you don't owe me anything and mom I wanna forget my past and your past and live with you . I don't care what happened all I know is that I wanna stay with you."
"I would very much like you to stay with me"
Cassie hugged her mom cause she knew she loved her soo much.
After a short silence , her mom asked in the most teasing and motherly like.
"Cass, what do you think about Zac?"
"Are we really having that talk right now mom."
"Haha I meant was there with you all this while , I mean who does that nowadays. His mom told me when you weren't able to sleep yesterday,  he didn't leave your room until you slept ."
"What , that sounds wrong mom."
"Oh come on , you know what I mean."
"Well , he is sweet and good.  Sure , he is annoying and I had a huge crush on him but I don't know what I feel about him after everything that happened."

"All I wanna say is that I wish for you someone like Zac. All my life I have dated cheatersand douchebags so I know this one's different.  He'll never break your heart."
"I think he already did mom."
"That's your wish dear. "
Her Aunt recovered within a week or so and was transferred back to her home.
The news about Cassie was broken to Caleb as well . He was sad but  was happy for her too.
"Well atleast she is still my cousin. " he said when his mother told him about Cassie.
All was well . Cassie still had that guilt feeling inside her as she saw Zac always taking care of her and her Aunt all winter break long. He wouldn't let Cassie be sad for even a second.  Keeping her happy was his winter break mission.
