I'm headed over to Ric's apartment because apparently they found something. Elena doesn't want me included but Whatever. I also didn't tell anyone about my run in with Frederick because I'm alive and well so they don't need to know.
I knock on Ric's front door and he opens it. Damon is helping Elena train.
"Why am I here?"
"Ghost of Christmas Past Mason Lockwood set up the cave and led us to a weapon that can kill Klaus." Damon basically explains. I haven't had a proper conversation with Damon in a while, I don't even know if we're still together.
"Are you sure we can trust her with this?" Elena whispers to Damon but of course I hear her. "Guess we'll find out." I shoot a sarcastic smile.
"but doesn't Mikael have a weapon?" I ask.
Mikael is the "hunter" that Klaus and Rebekah have been running from. "Yes." Damon admits. "Which probably means the wall will lead us to Mikael, who we have already found...and lost."
They're still training and he grabs the stake from her. "Bang! You're dead!"
He pretends to drink her blood and she pushes him off of her. Is it just me or do they have some kind of chemistry.
A wave of jealousy flashes in me so I draw the attention back to Mikael. "What even is the weapon?"
I walk over to the table Ric is at, followed by Elena. "These images at the very least might tell us" he suggests.
"Then all we have to do is find out what they mean."
Damon sighs from behind us. "Fine! Fine! If I am being irritatingly optimistic like you ...how do you suppose we do that?" He asks. "Well, if the story is about the Original Family living here, then we go straight to the source."
"If you give me one more speech about how this isn't me, I will not be helping." I warn as Elena and I walk onto the football field. Rebekah apparently joined the cheer squad. I'm actually not that surprised."Emmy!" She calls over with a smile and I wave back as we walk over to her. Her smile turns into a scowl as she notices Elena. "You! Goody." She deadpans.
"We were hoping we could talk." Elena brings up. Wow so much for the agreement of me doing the talking.
"About what? Stefan?" She asks. "Don't worry, I'm off him until he starts treating me better. In fact, you should probably take a page out of my book, if I'm being honest."
Damn.
"Actually." I counter. "We were hoping about this..." I hold up the picture from the cave wall of Rebekah's name. "Why have you and Klaus spent all this time running from you father?" Elena asks and Rebekah looks a little nervous.
"I should get back to the girls. Homecoming's right around the corner." She turns to leave. "Well then, maybe I'll ask Mikael when we wake him." Elena threatens and I shoot her a what the hell look.
"You're bluffing!" She accuses. "You don't know where he is. No one does."
"So, then who's rotting in that old cemetery in Charlotte?"
"If you wake Mikael, we are all doomed! Even Emmy, he'll kill everyone."
"So then tell us." I urge. "Why do you want to know?" She asks. "Why don't you want us to wake him?" I counter and she steps back a little, she tries to keep up her brave face but she looks a little shaken up. "I need to get back to the girls." She dismisses and then walks back. We watch as she makes her way. "Well that was productive." I comment.
