A whole lot of goodbyes

I open my eyes tiredly and shift in the bed. Rebekah still isn't here.

I stay like ten minutes and then get off the bed. I can hear movement downstairs which means everyone is there but I'm still not going to risk it all and take a shower so instead I brush through my hair and change into my skirt and red crop from yesterday add my heeled boots and my leather jacket. I pack up all my things from last night including the picture that Klaus gave me and then exit the room. As I approach the stairs I get a familiar smell. What the hell is it? Oh come on I know this smell. What is it.

Oh my god think Emmy. Think.

Damon? No it can't be. Why would he be here? Whatever only one way to find out.

"Out all night. What a scandal! I trust you did better than that commoner?" I hear Kol's voice. "Matt, was it?"

"If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth." Rebekah threatens. Oo she slept with Matt. Now that's something I did not expect. "Don't start, Nik!" She scolds. "I didn't say anything." Klaus defends and then there's about five seconds of silence. "Morning darling." Kol greets before I even reach the bottom of the stairs. The smell gets stronger but I don't see Damon. As I walk closer to everyone I realize why though. Well she definitely did not sleep with Matt. As I realize I raise an eyebrow at her but it doesn't bother me that much to be honest. At least it wasn't Elena and Damon was very clear that he doesn't care about me but girl code is still a thing. But does that even apply to vampires. Ugh I don't know what to feel.

"Emmy let me explain." She pleads. "Rebekah it's fine." I dismiss. "No it's not." She argues. "It saught of just happened." She explains. "Did we miss something?" Kol questions but we both ignore him. "It's fine." I dismiss again.

"I'm bored." Kol suddenly announces. "Emmy? Join me?"

"Maybe next time, I've got to go home and sleep." I say. "Didn't you just wake up?" Klaus chuckles and I nod. "That's the good thing about sleep...you can do it anytime you want." I shoot a tight smile before walking to the front door.

"Do you happen to know what your sister and my mother is up to?" Elijah asks me. About thirty minutes after I came back, Elijah came over. He's convinced that his mother is planning something and since I happen to be on good terms with everyone in the original family except for Klaus, I will prefer if they don't all die.

"Nope.....I'm not exactly in the inner circle anymore." I joke while twisting my hair into a messy bun. Elijah is seated on my bed. "It seems that they have forgiven or at least talking to Stefan maybe they'll give you a second chance." He encourages not very encouragingly. "I don't think I exactly want to be in the inner circle anymore." I shrug and in the reflection of my mirror i see him tilt his head in thought.

"Why is that?" He questions.

"I don't need to be seeing Elena and Damon all buddy buddy all the time."

"Oh yes...that." He recalls. "Well Damon's an idiot." He adds which makes me laugh. What? The way he says it in his accent and so composed is kind of funny.

"So uh...how do you plan on finding out what you're mother's up too?" I ask changing the topic from Damon. "Well I plan to ask Elena." He simply says and I turn around now leaning against my dresser. "By that you mean...possibly threaten her?" I assume. "I will not risk anything happening to my family Emmy, I will do anything to protect them." He informs and I nod. "I understand that....just know I will also if Elena gets hurt." I reply.

"Understood." He agrees. "Good....shall we go now." He gets up. He asked in the tone of a question but I know he was going to go with or without me. So I nod and follow him out of the room. Hell yeah I wana know what she's planning also. I should take my knives huh? Yep. I don't plan on hurting anyone but if Stefan and Damon think that Elena's in danger then they'll probably come after me.
