I sit on the floor while Magnus places candles in a circle around me. "You ready?" He asks and I hum in agreement. "Hey uh, how come you didn't have to invite me in?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows at him and a small smirk plays on his face. "A warlock never reveals his secrets."
The rest of them are skimming through the books looking for more information.
"So how long are you staying here?" He asks after placing the last candle and then grabbing a lighter. "Might leave tomorrow." I shrug.
"They seem to enjoy having you here, why not stay a little longer?" I don't plan on answering but he's not paying attention to me right now.
"You know....those glances aren't very subtle." I comment. He's still lighting candles. "They aren't meant to be." He turns back. I nod at him with a slightly impressed look. "I like you...we're friends now."
He smirks at my comment and then lights the last candle. "We're ready." He announces making Alec, Jace, Izzy and Elijah come over.
"You ready?" He asks and I nod exhaling a deep breath. "Okay. Remember get the information you need and then I pull you out."
"Don't do anything stupid." Elijah warns. I wave a dismissive swat. "It's fool proof." I defend and the roll my eyes. "Even for me." I add and then turn back into the circle facing Magnus. He takes my hand in his and gives me a reassuring look and then I close my eyes. At first there's silence and I tune out everything and focus on my breathing. That's what I did when I was younger when I got panic attacks. You'd think as a vampire I won't get those but I still do. Whatever oh well.
I finally hear Magnus softly chanting the spell. At first I don't feel anything until somehow I just know to open my eyes and I do. When I do I'm laying in what feels like grass. Whatever it is lightly pricks my skin and it's damp. The smell then floods my nose and I recognize it as the smell of flowers. I finally decide to sit up and as I look around there's knee high grass and different flowers spouting out in different areas. I get off of the ground and glance around somewhat confused and I catch a glimpse of someone before they disappear into the grass. All I saw was long black hair blowing in the wind and like the idiot I am or maybe like the smart person I am I follow them. As I reach closer I notice the person slouched over possibly picking flowers and wearing a white long dress that ripples in the wind.
"Aliyah?" I call out causing the lady to turn around. She's traditionally beautiful. Her skin is fair like really fair like she hasn't had sun in a while buy yet it suits her. Her cheeks bones are high and she's probably a few inches taller than me. If she were alive she could probably be a model.
"Emily Gilbert, I've been waiting." She announces. Her voice is smoothe. It's not too soft but not too loud.
"You know me?" I question furrowing my eyebrows. "Mhm..." she nods. "But we can't stay too long, they'll notice." She whispers urgingly. The fuck? How could anyone even listen if technically I'm not really here.
"Who...who'll notice?" I ask but a little voice reminds me of what Magnus said about relevant questions and it doesn't look like she was going to answer me anyways.
"So is it true? I am one of those....uh...true immortal or whatever?"
"You're a chosen one." She replies. "Mmk these nursery rhyme answers are not helping." I mutter and then remember that I need her to like me because I need answers. "Sorry." I breathe out.
"It's okay, I get it..." she starts but her voice trails weirdly and I flash a confused frown. "What's wrong?"
"They know." Her face contorts into distress. "You need to get out of here but before you need to know that before you trigger it, find the weapons first. There are people in the world who want people like you dead. I don't know where it is but last I heard it was.... get out!get out!" She starts shouting and I stand there staring at her with concern. "They can't hurt me I'm astroprojecting." I assure but she's not focused on me anymore, it's like she's looking straight through me and she looks horrified.
