I wake up when something hits me right in the face and see Jeremy and Elena with pillows. I glare at them. "Literal toddlers." I comment sitting up and I grab a pillow but Jeremy takes off running and I laugh to myself and rest it back onto my bed. I take up the college brochure from under my bed and open it to read again but I crunple it up when I hear Elena's voice. "Get ready we're having lunch with Ric." She says and I nod. Oh my god I didn't even see Ric since he's been back.
I close my door and go bathe and change. The weather is better today so I end up wearing jeans shorts and a bra looking top and then my leather jacket. I put my hair half up half down and then fold the college flyer and slide it into my pocket with my phone.
"Okay when you said we were having lunch I thought you meant in the grill or a restaurant.." I tell Elena. "Good to see you too Emmy." Ric says and I roll my eyes and hug him. "I missed you more than I care to admit." I say.
"The other side doesn't feed well?" I ask as Ric literally stuffs his mouth with food. "It's like Emmy's fridge." Jeremy says and I flick his head.
"You have no idea how much I've missed this." Ric says and then takes out a bottle of bourbon. "And this." He adds.
Jeremy takes the bottle and Elena snatches it from him. "You wish."
"Oh please don't act like we all didn't finish a bottle like this last night." I chime in.
"I missed this...alot." Elena says. "What? The alcohol?" I raise my eyebrows at her causing Ric to snort and Elena rolls her eyes with a smile on her face. "I'm serious." She argues. "Hey, no. No tears. If Caroline was right, we only have until tonight. We need a no-crying rule." Jeremy says and I nod. "Yes please."
"But the crying's good. It means that I'm finally feeling something, and right now I..I feel happy." She smiles. This is good. I like this and if I leave I won't have this.
Elena phone rings ruining the moment but it's Matt so it's fine. "Hey, you went AWOL this morning – what happened?" She asks him and my eyes widen when I listen in and hear the familiar voice. "Hello, Elena. It's your dead friend, Connor. You remember me?" Fucking kill me now.
"We want Silas, and we want the cure." Connor demands. "I don't know where they are, so I guess I can't help you." She tells him. "Huh. Well, you know who's gonna need some help? Grandma and Grandpa Jones, in town for the big high school graduation" he says. Omg grandma's coming?
"along with Auntie Sue and Uncle Mark..." aunt sue smells like cat hair.
Ric gestures that he's going to do something and I nod while Elena continues on the phone.
"Matter of fact, everybody here at the Mystic Grill for graduation brunch. You either give me what I want, or they die." Connor warns and then hangs up.
My phone buzzes with a message from Damon. "Someone attacked Damon but he's good now." I announce. "I'm sure that's not exactly what he said." Jeremy comments. "I'm paraphrasing."
"Go ahead." Elena nods at me. "Ric's got the Connor thing handled."
I get up and start to walk off. "Never mind looks like I'm needed at the boarding house also." She says holding up her phone showing a text from Stefan so Jeremy stands up too. "I guess we're all going."
We get to the boarding house and of course there's a dead body on the floor but then I see Lexi and I smirk at her. "Should've known." I say and she smirks back. "This one was Stefan but I guess I taught him well."
I walk over and give her a quick hug. When i turn back around both Stefan and Elena have disappeared and just Jeremy is left. "Where's Damon?" I ask Lexi and she points upstairs. "Good to see you." I tell her and she returns a smile before I walk upstairs.
