When I woke up, the first thing I saw was Jade's worried face. Even though she had her mask on, I could see it in her eyes. Then I remembered I was fighting with Kitana, but that's as far as my memory went.
Mileena : "Jade ? Are you ok? Where's Kitana ? Did you beat her ? What happened to your human self ?"
Kitana : "She's gone."
I heard Kitana's voice from a few centimeters away. Yeah, I remember now : I knocked her out before I got sucked into the chamber. As she was trying to stand up, I immediately put my guard up and tried to pull my twins daggers out. But something was off. I felt another object attached to my waist.
Kitana : "I'm afraid your plan took an unexpected turn."
Mileena : "Of course it has ! Jade is gone because of you !"
Kitana : "Well yes. She is. But her revenant is still standing before you, therefore she didn't die."
Mileena : "what happened then ? What did you do ?"
She didn't answer. When I looked at this other object attached to my waist, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was her weapon.
Mileena : "I don't understand, why is her weapon still intact, and why do I have it?"
Jade : "when you got sucked in the chamber, it appears your body fused with my past self."
Mileena : "what..?"
Jade : "Which means that, if you get killed, I will also disappear."
Kitana kept quiet, while trying to contain her tears and her anger. I immediately turned to her.
Mileena : "So much for trying to corrupt her huh? This is your fault ! You never cared for her ! You just wanted to have a little lap dog once again, but you know perfectly that no one but jade would follow you."
Kitana : "you dare lecture me ? You only exist because of me, so stop trying to act like a real human being."
Mileena : "I might not be human, but let me tell you something. Now that my body fused with Jade, I know every single one of her thoughts, especially those about you. You're all that's on her mind Kitana. "I wouldn't betray Kitana's friendship for anything.", "She and I fight side by side against Shao Kahn's opression". But you know what annoys me the most Kitana ? She keeps repeating those exact phrases to herself all the time, despite the fact that you abandonned her and left her to rot during your fight against Sindel. She might not be able to tell you all this, but I will on her behalf. You see her revenant other there? This is the result of her, following you, and trusting you. Are you happy Kitana ? This is your doing, and all I'm trying to do right now, is make up for your mistakes."

You know what's funny ? I thought I would be happy to see Kitana, but I am actually very disappointed to see her. Usually it's the other way around. Kitana didn't bother replying to my scolding speech. I guess part of everything I just told her was true, and she's starting to realise some things.
After an awkward moment of silence, I heard more footsteps coming our way : it was Queen Sheeva, accompanied by baraka and Erron Black.
Sheeva : "Kitana Kahn, there is something you need to know."
Jade and Mileena (Simultaneously) : "Kitana Kahn?!"
Erron Black : "What are these 2 ladies doing here ?"
He was referring to me and Jade, obviously.
Baraka : "Mileena ?! You were supposed to be dead !"
Sheeva : "Mileena and Jade's revenant are not our enemies, we can trust them."
Baraka : "They're with Kronika, and we all know Mileena want to takes the throne."
Kitana : "I trust them."
Everyone (simultaneously) : "WHAT?!"
Am I high ? Is this fusion making me hallucinate ? No, that's not it, everyone heard Kitana. It doesn't surprise me that she trusts Jade.. but ME ? Am I really going to be on good terms with Kitana ? I don't understand, it doesn't feel right.. Why am I not happy about this ?
Kitana : "I'll explain everything later, what is it that you need to tell me Queen Sheeva ?"
Sheeva : "It's about Kronika's crown, we know who has it."
Mileena : "Wait what? Who has it?"
Sheeva : "It's Skarlet."
