"I have to admit, I under-estimated you Mileena." Cetrion said calmly, while still being unable to move.

"I am the daughter of Shao kahn, what did you expect?"

"From what I've seen in the hourglass, your tragic fate spoke for itself."

"What do you mean?"

Cetrion then explained to me what happened in the future. It turns out everyone died, including me. Except I didn't come back as a revenant. Instead, I was served as lunch for D'vorah's filthy babies. And on top of that, Kotal was proclaimed new Kahn of outworld. My father was right to export him to Shang Tsung's island, he was such a nuisance. But now he is even more problematic.

"How do I know if you're telling the truth?" I asked Cetrion.

"Believe me or not, it doesn't matter. You must follow us to the hourglass, we'll explain everything there."

"Not until you tell me where my father and my sister are."

"They were sent to the future, as it is part of Kronika's plan to restart history."

"Fine then, send me to the future instead."

"That won't be necessary." The mysterious man said, finally coming out of the dark.

"And you are?" I asked, while being ironically polite.

"I am Geras, and I serve Kronika, for she is my creator."

"Can somebody tell me who is this KRONIKA? She must be the one behind all those sand storms."

Before I even realized, my feet got stuck in some kind of sand trap. It was Geras' magic. I was trying hard to free myself from this trap but it was no use.

"Do not resist Mileena, you cannot escape fa-"

Before Geras could finish his sentence, I threw a Sai at him, stabbing him right in between the eyes.

"I dare you to come closer." I said, while still being trapped.

He didn't take my warning into consideration, and started getting closer to me, as I was trying really hard to free myself from the sand. Finally, we were face to face.

"Do you really think you can win? This is a war, and you are highly outnumbered." Geras said angrily.

"Unfortunately for you, I-"

"You what?"

"I didn't have lunch yet."

In the blink of an eye, I managed to teleport out of the trap, right behind Geras.

"Freeeesh meat-" I whispered in Geras' ear, right before ripping out his neck.

Honestly, he didn't taste that good, since his whole body is also made of sand

Honestly, he didn't taste that good, since his whole body is also made of sand. But now he and Cetrion won't cause me any more trouble. As happy as I am to be able to run again, I left the Koliseum.  I have to find a way to reach Shang Tsung's island, and even better, find Shang Tsung himself, with hopes that he wasn't sent into the future with the others.

At this moment, I had no idea about the adventures that were waiting for me. But one thing is for sure, I will not let some titan and her minions decide my fate.
