"Wish to survive?" Jade said, while I was trying to stand up.
"It'll take more than that- to bring me down."
"If D'vorah could finish you, I certainly shall."
"I thought you were supposed to keep me alive, Miss Jade. So you're defying Kronika's orders now? My guess is you missed being someone's little lap dog, just like with Kotal. How is he by the way? Do you guys do revenant stuff together? Or did you switch for Kung Lao?"
She didn't reply, but I could feel she was trying to contain her anger.
"Touched a nerve didn't I?" I said while smiling at her broken revenant face.
If there's one thing that Shao Kahn taught me and that Jade and Kitana always fail at, it's to never let emotions take control during a fight. She charged at me again, even faster than the first time, but this time I was ready to punish her.
I rolled over her so fast that she flew in the air then hit her head hard on the ground. I could go at it with her all night long, but I had to leave for Shang Tsung's island. I ran away once again, but Jade didn't bother following me, and stayed put. She and I knew we would meet again in Kombat.
And let's not forget about Kronika, she is probably watching me right now. I mean, how come a revenant from the future could possibly travel time and at the same time know my location? Only a Titan could have such powers. And on top of that, she has the ability to erase me from history, just like she did with Raiden. But why isn't she doing it ? Am I a puppet just like everyone? Or is all of this part of her plan ? I guess I'll find out later on.
After running a thousand and a thousand miles again, I arrived at the Wastelands of Outworld. Lucky for me, I could see the Nethership. Ages ago, the shapeshifting sorcerer Shang Tsung used this old vessel to cross the Lost Sea in Earthrealm to the Celestial Portal of Outworld. It was once used to bring warriors from the mainland to Shang Tsung's island fortress for the first Mortal Kombat tournament. And now, I will be using it to go to Shang Tsung's island.
The question I'm asking myself right now is : will I find what I'm looking for ? Of course I had doubts. I was alone, trying to find people who probably aren't missing me or even the idea of me. But I had to find them, because they're all I have in this world. And I know Kronika could never give me what I really want, because I don't know myself what is it that I want. Becoming her ally would be foolish, especially for me.
I guess she didn't expect me to be this problematic. And she is right to fear me.
I will do anything to get my life back.
