It felt really good, not running for once. I was calmly walking around the island, opening a bunch of chests on my way, but all of them were empty. Some Krypt guy must have opened them all already.

I was thinking of starting a new life here : there's a bunch of dead bodies, enough for me to last a few decades. It's hard to concentrate when you have no idea what you are looking for exactly, so you start projecting yourself on something that seems very hard to access. Then I remembered this dream I had, where the revenants took Kronika's crown and vanished. What even is this crown for? Maybe it's here on the island. And maybe I'll find it and learn how to use it.

All I have to do, is remember where the crown was in my dream. But unfortunately, my brain was too fuzzy for me to think. After looking almost everywhere, I stopped in Goro's lair.

I sat down for a moment

I sat down for a moment. This is the first time I sat ever since the Coliseum drama. I mustn't be long though, otherwise Kronika will send her minions after me. Well, she probably did already. They might be here right now too.

After sitting for approximately 10 minutes, I started looking for the crown again. From a distance, I could see Goro's skeleton sitting on his throne. He was very faithful to Shao Kahn, until his very last breath. Unfortunately, there was nothing like a crown on him, so I kept looking. The ground was full of skulls : every step I took, I was crushing one. But these skulls were so old, it felt like I was walking on sand. As for the dungeons, they were all empty. Not even a trace of blood. This is where we originally kept the prisonners, along with the monsters that were thrown in the tournament.

Unfortunately, my search for the crown wasn't as successful as I thought it would be. I stood near one of the dungeons, deep thinking about where this damn crown could be. But something didn't feel right. Once again, I felt like I was being watched.

And my intuition was right. I managed to dodge an enormous amount of projectiles coming from behind me. It had to be the revenants.

A few moments later, they finally decided to step out of their shadows.

Jade: This is your last chance to surrender.

Mileena: Let me find the crown first then I'll leave.

Kung Lao: How does she know about the crown ?!

The 3 of them looked at each other wondering why I am aware of this information. It was clear their orders were to defeat me. I waited for one of them to attack, but turns out they all came at me simultaneously.

I swung left, then right, dodged a lunging blow from behind, then rolled to the left. When they were taking a pause, I took the opportunity to teleport behind Jade and bite her left shoulder. She then fell on the ground, but she could still see the fight happening between me and the Shaolins, even if she was too astonished to move.

I hit Kung-Lao under the jaw, and he stepped back and swung at me. I shrugged my shoulder up and took the punch on it. I hit him four times, three lefts and a right in the face. He stumbled back, blood rushing from his nose. Liu Kang kept throwing fire balls at me, which I had to constantly dodge.

So I ran again, trying to avoid the fireballs. When suddenly, I saw something glowing a few miles away. It was a green-ish light with an enormous amount of power coming out of it.

It was Kronika's crown.

I looked at the revenants right in the eyes, teleported to this green light, and took the crown

I looked at the revenants right in the eyes, teleported to this green light, and took the crown.

I tried to run away with it, but something hit my hand, and the crown fell on the floor. It was Jade who managed to throw her boomerang at me. She stood up, regardless of the enormous bite mark on her shoulder.

I was furious, I should have seen it coming.

Mileena: NO !!

I ran at Jade and tried to take the crown back.

But something went wrong...

Jade : Let go off me !!

The crown started glowing even more than it already did.

And after this, this was the last thing I remembered from Shang Tsung's island...
