Kronika : "Earthrealmers, Outworlders, everyone thinks that being keeper of time is easy. The fate of every single individual is in my hands, so when somebody goes against my life plan for them, action must be taken. They all exist, because I allow them. What's funny is, they think they are the masters of their future, when in the end, everything falls to me. It is foolish to make an ennemy of me, because you cannot win. Many have faced me, and all of them failed. Poor Raiden and Liu Kang, forced to repeat history over and over again, and always the same ending. But it seems there is someone I never thought would be able to outplay me.
Surprisingly, Mileena has been my most formidable opponent, and as long as she keeps the crown, she might be able to finish me.
I was watching everything through my Hourglass from the very start, and it seems that Jade is no longer our ally."
I paused for a moment, then looked at Kitana.
Kronika : "Speak your mind."

Kitana : "Why would Jade team up with Mileena?"
Kronika : "She's lost Kitana. All her life she's been serving you, even if you couldn't see it. But I know you miss her."
Kitana : "To hell with Jade. I live to serve Lord Shinnok, and every traitor to our master must be eliminated."
Kitana then left the keep. If she thinks she can hide her emotions from me, then she's a fool. I know I can count on Liu Kang and Kung Lao to serve me.
Liu Kang : "Don't worry about her, she will come back to her senses. You of all people know how much she cares about Jade, even if she says the contrary."
Kronika : "Always such a kindhearted man, Liu Kang. But you needn't worry. Our priority is to stop Mileena."
Liu Kang : "Unless you have another plan, I'm going to end her myself."
Kronika : "I do have a plan, in fact. I was stupid not to think of it."
Liu Kang : "What is it ?"
Kronika : "Fight fire, with Fire."

Jade and I left the Koliseum, leaving Kotal's unconscious body behind. We were still moved by our encounter with Skarlet. What she did to Kotal still gave me chills, and I could see it in Jade's eyes that she didn't expect such a thing to happen. In fact, I was foolish to underestimate the power of blood magic.
Even after running away, this time I couldn't stop looking back at the Koliseum. We could still hear some fights happening, even if we were a mountain away. My sister must be fighting with the earthrealmers at the moment we speak.
I sat on the ground and got lost in my own thoughts again. This time, I just couldn't stop crying. My life was, is, and will always be a mess. My sister hates me, and I hate myself for hating her. My own father, who in fact is not my biological, teached blood magic to Skarlet instead of me. And I have no one to blame but myself, for being a monstrosity, and a killer.
Jade didn't say anything, probably because she never thought she would see ugly Mileena act like a human being for once. She sat down next to me, and waited until I calmed down.
But even after everything that happened between us, Jade has been the kindest to me.
