Day 10: Just after sunrise

•Christian's POV•

The atmosphere of the morning is gloomy as the fog from outside the cave threatens its way in. Nobody speaks much to each other and focuses on their tasks. I prepare my sword as it is the last thing I have to do before being sent out with the others.

Mason, already being ready, begins to help Nattie tie her boots properly. He does it without much effort, having done it himself a million times. I noticed his eyes wander past Nattie, over at Zora where she is fixing her corset to make herself look more like the other girls. Another helps her keep her skirt a certain way to reveal more of her thigh. Last night Mason asked Hook to look out for Zora but Hook made no promises as his main concern is protecting Anna.

"Staring at her won't make it easier." I tell him as he walks by. "Go say something to her."

He stops to look at me, locking his lips and nodding. "I just...don't know what to say. She's doing this because of her brother I can't ask her to go with you simply because I want her safety guarantied. We are not that close anyways." He shrugs.

"Then go get close with her."

"What do I even say?"

"Don't say goodbye, just 'see you later'." I shrug while continuing to sharpen my sword. He heads over but I don't watch.

I wish I could say I was in the same mindset as everyone else, but in not. All I wanna do is see Annalynn. These days have been so long without her and I crave the second I get to be with her again. Everyone else sees today as a day where lives will be ending, I'm seeing it as the day I get to be with her again. I won't show that this is how I'm feeling, however, it would be harsh and look bad to the others.

There is a sorrow in the air and I cannot deny that brothers will be lost in battle today.

A watchmen enters the cave, heading directly for Nathan a few feet away from me, cuddled up next to Julia.

"They are on their way." He informs Nathan.

A now tense Nathan stands tall alerting everyone to look his way. Julia gets up with him. The sight everyone sees are two strong lovers standing together, ready to take back what belongs to them.

"The time is now. Today we take back our home and claim justice upon Destinland!" The men shout out a battle cry. "Hook, Lara, are your groups ready for phase one of front gate."

"Aye, a captain and his grew be always ready."

"My ladies look well. A perfect distraction as always." Lara prides herself.

"The wagon is waiting for you just outside. Me and my men will soon be behind you. Should you need anything, send someone back to us for help. We won't be far."

"We won't need the help you highness. I'll make sure we get in that castle." Hook leads the way outside the cave. We watch as they all form the practiced formation and they are soon off into the distance. We wait until we can no longer hear them to begin sending out phase two people, which includes me. All of us start to head over to the cave entrance. Julia and Nathan hand in hand, not wanting to let go until the last second.

"You can still chose to come with." Julia pleads.

"I have to lead them, darling." He touches her cheek. "Fear not, I will feel your warmth by tonight."

"We are all ready." Lucas says.

Nathan gets down on Nattie's level again, making her hug him tight. "You have to listen to everything they tell you to."
