Hey Readers!
This one's a long one ;) and has good info it it!
Also in the chapter there is some dialogue that might be hard to read. African accents are very unique:)
I hope everyone had a great weekend! 💜

*Annalynn's POV*

About an hour goes by of me in my room just thinking. I lay on the soft quilt of the bed and just look up at the ceiling.

When the door opens I hear Rose's heels 'click clack' up to me.

"Well it seems something's on your mind, my dear." She sets down a tray of dinner and then my nightgown next to me.

"Did I ever tell you I met my true love."

"No, I don't remember having the conversation." The mattress sinks in a little bit next to me. She looks at me concerned.

"Well...I did. I met him in Neverland and I helped save his life. He's the only person I can't see when it comes to looking into his past. And we got separated after the curse brought us back here. He's still in the land without magic."

"Well I'm very sorry to hear that my dear."

"But here's the kicker." I finally look at her. She's very interested in what I'm telling her. "Christian just admitted his feelings for me."

"I mean it was getting obvious." She scoffs.

"Was it?"

"Yes." Her voice goes to a higher pitch. "I see the way the boy looks at you!"

"Rose that's not helping." I whine.

"I know, I know. But let me ask you this. She gets closer to me and puts a hand on my forearm. "How long will it be until you get to see your true love again?"

"I...I don't know, it's too hard to put an exact time on that."

"Then why not give Christian a go? Honey, in all my years there is one thing I have leaned above all else and that to always be open to your possibilities. It might be years before you see him again and until then your going to need to learn how to even be a girlfriend. Experience wouldn't hurt when it comes the the rest of your life."

"Okay but-" I roll onto my stomach, "if I allow myself to fall for Christian then both of our hearts are going to get broken in the end and I don't think that's worth it. It's like I'd just be using him until the real deal comes back. It doesn't feel right to me."

"Taking risks is apart of life and it's clear that he willing to take that risk with you. I'm not saying you should go for it, but I think Christian would be a great company for you. True love finds each other when the time is right but until then, love in general is what you should feel."

"I guess." I shrug.

"Now stop moping around, you've got a letter." She picks it up, handing it to me.

"Really? From who?" I take it from her hands.

"I don't know I didn't open it. I have other maters to attend to but make sure you eat after you read that and go straight to bed."

"Okay." I half smile at her before she leaves the room.

"To: Annalynn" The envelope is addressed to me in very fine cursive print. I open it without hesitation to read.

"Dear Anna,

My dear, how are you doing? I bet you know how I am. I hope your not to worried about me if you have seen how I've been though my past. I hope you are doing well and have kept busy. A am also sure you know of our current situation here. We are doing all we can to stop Zelena and could really use you by our side. I wish I could be writing you a more positive letter but I felt I had to bring it to your attention now. Yesterday a body was brought to our palace. It was Felix's body. I've put a spell over his body to stop it from decomposing any longer and will wait until you and the lost boys can have a funeral for him and then after we can give him the burial he deserves. We hope to see you soon.
Yours truly,
Regina"
