Chapter 17

I walked into Granny's just as Dad went around the corner of the cafe to the apartments. I really needed to talk to him, so I followed. I'm pretty sure I could be scarred for life from what I saw. I mean, seeing your dad kiss the savior is just weird. It's also terrifying.

I backed up quickly and spun around, straight into- "Peter." My hands rested on his chest as his arms wrapped around my waist.

"So glad I could catch you, darling. You know, I was thinking about you earlier..." he said and gave me his signature smirk.

"Oh were you now? And what else were you thinking about during that time?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe our first official date?" My eyes widened in surprise.

"Like an actual date? Without the boys and anyone to bug us?" I questioned.

"Only if you want to, I mean-"

I cut him off with a kiss. "Does that answer your question?"

"You know, I don't think it does." He smirked before pulling me into another kiss.

Back at home, I changed into a black skirt and a sea-foam green crop-top and my combat boots, putting my hair up into a bun and my headband on to push the extra hair back. I was extremely excited to spend a night with Peter, our first date to be exact.

I walked down the stairs and saw eleven pairs of eyes staring at me in awe.

"What?" I asked, looking around at the boys.

"You-you...skirt." Joey stuttered out.

I laughed, "Guys, it's just a skirt. I've worn one plenty of times before."

Danny smirked. "I think they mean how you look, darling. And might I say, you look gorgeous."

I smiled and hugged him. "Danny, you're the sweetest. Thank you. Well, I guess I'm just waiting for Peter then-"

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and Reggie opened it only to reveal Peter standing there with a bouquet of Arrowheads. I smiled brightly as they were my favorite flowers.

Walking over to him, I smiled and he handed me the bouquet. "Thank you, Peter. They're lovely," I smiled.

"You're welcome. Why don't you put them in a vase and then we can go, yeah?" Peter smirked.

I laughed and put the flowers in a vase before taking Peter's hand. The two of us walked to Granny's in silence, just enjoying each other's company. It wasn't too busy at the restaurant and luckily it was just before dinner rush.

Ruby brought over our usual milkshakes and I smiled brightly at her before she winked at me and walked away. I giggled and held hands with Peter across the table. Right now it was just the two of us without the drama of the rest of the town.

After a little bit, we decided to order our food and it came out quickly. I ordered French Onion Soup while Peter got steak. I laughed again as he licked his lips when the plate was set down in front of him. We were halfway through eating when a hook was slammed down on to the table.

"What the bloody hell is going on here?" My father asked, enraged.

"Um, eating dinner?" I questioned after finishing what was on my spoon.

"I think you're on a date." He spoke through clenched teeth.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious. Now if you could let us get back to it..." Peter led off, raised eyebrows at my father and waited for him to leave.
