Chapter 10

I awoke then next morning once again with kisses being placed on my face. I headed downstairs to make breakfast as the boys sat at the table quietly. They looked at me expectantly but I just headed into the kitchen and started making the scrambled eggs.

Max, Danny, Ben, Joey, Charlie, George, Fred, Logan, Jace, and Reggie watched as I swayed my hips to the music in my head. Peter shuffled down the stairs, kissing my forehead and going to sit with the boys. I walked over to the table and put some eggs on each of their plates. I unloaded the dishwasher, putting away the clean plates before putting the dirty ones in the dishwasher.

I turned to the boys, "Hey how come Felix and Beau aren't up yet?" And that's when it hit me. They weren't with us anymore. I crumbled to the ground, falling on my knees, covering my mouth with my hand so the sobs couldn't escape.

Instead, I started shaking uncontrollably and Danny rushed over to me, picking me up and putting me in his lap. He smiled down at my and brushed my bangs out of my face.

"Hey, they're in a better place now," he whispered and

I nodded curling into a ball, hugging him tightly. "Y-you're right. I-I need to move on."

He nodded and helped me up. I bit the inside of my lip, going to eat my own breakfast but I lost my appetite. I shoved it forcefully down my throat though, knowing I had to eat something or I would get sick. Peter took the fork out of my hand and gave me a soft look.

I smiled weakly, excusing myself from the table and went upstairs to get changed. I slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans and a green long-sleeved shirt. I put my black leather jacket on, not bothering to button or zipper it and slipped on my leather boots. I walked outside without saying goodbye and shoved my hands in the pockets of my coat, needing to go for a walk.

I walked in the street, not caring what happened. I walked along side the cars and headed towards anywhere. So naturally, I went to the library. I pulled open the door, going inside and I skimmed the shelves for a good book. I needed to find a way to get myself out of reality. I found one titled Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Lightning Thief.

So I sat down in a comfortable chair and read. An hour or two later, I was done with the book. I immediately grabbed the other four in the series and sat down again, curling up once again, to read. By lunch, I was done with the fourth book. I wiped my eyes from tears of knowing what it was like to be in Calypso's point of view, from knowing what it was like in Annabeth's point of view to love somebody and think that they're not coming back to you. It was hard knowing things like that.

I exited the library, walking back through town. I headed to the beach, wanting to clear my head. I slipped off my boots, coat, and shirt, revealing my tank-top. I ran into the water and dove, taking my chance to be free, yet again, from reality. My legs turned into my tail, a blue one, and I looked at it as the scales reflected the sun.

My tank-top transformed into more of a bra, two shells with a strap connecting them (like Ariel). I smiled into the water in front of me and flicked my tail, swimming to the bottom. Brushing my hand along the floor of the ocean, I picked up a shell and blew into it. I laughed until I looked up to see a line of guards with weapons at their sides in front of me. They looked like palace guards.

Suddenly, a sea horse swam up to me. "You blew the horn." he said.

"What?" I asked.

The sea horse said again, "You blew the horn! You were able to pick up the horn, you blew the horn!" I nodded, not understanding what he meant. "Just follow me Le- er, young lady."
