Chapter 9

I awoke the next morning with kisses being planted all over my face and on my neck. I smiled sleepily and turned on to my stomach, groaning a bit.

"Lexiiii...." Peter whispered and I groaned.

"Peter, come back to bed please. I need my snuggle buddy." I said, whining a bit and drowning out my words.

He did so and I snuggled up to him, resting my head on his chest. He threw the covers back over both of us and I smiled as he kissed the top of my head. It was peaceful.

A knock sounded at the door and Ben's head looked in. "Lex, Peter-" he looked at us and blushed a little. "Oh, sorry, didn't know you two were busy," he mumbled and turned to leave.
Despite the fact that the bed and covers were so comforting, I sat up.

"No, that's all right. What is it?" I asked and Ben just motioned for us to follow him. I shared a look with Peter and then I started hearing crying.
"Beau!!!" I yelled, jumping out of the bed and making a dash to downstairs. Peter followed me quickly and I almost fell down the stairs.

I slid into the kitchen on my knees and noticed the boys surrounding Beau as he cried, one of the boys holding an ice pack to Beau's small little hand. I kneeled beside the wounded boy and he looked up at me with tearful eyes.

"Don't worry sweetie, Lexi's here." I whispered, hugging him tightly and taking the ice from the Lost Boy.

I picked Beau up and took him to the small section that was set out for Beau to play in. He happily ran over there and started playing with the toys. Breakfast was burning so instead I just made pancakes and bacon for the boys. I would save scrambled eggs for the next day.

I served everybody and Danny even tripped me so I would end up in Peter's lap. I glared at Danny as Peter blushed a bit and I turned to face him.

"Pancake?" I said cheekily and Peter laughed. I pecked his lips, stealing a quick kiss and then went back to making more pancakes. They're teenage boys, they've got to eat!

I made about 5 more batches of pancakes before all of their bellies were full. Peter put his dish in the sink and spun me around in his arms. I had my arms around his neck. He laughed and spun me around again before dipping me and inching his face closer to mine. I moved in quickly, stole a kiss and jumped out of his arms.

"Haha!" I said and ran into the living room, Peter chasing me. He laughed as we ran around, him trying to catch me. Eventually, he did, literally. I smiled up at him and he smiled back. We kissed and I felt a spark. It was tiny, but it still released the butterflies in my stomach.

"Get a room!" Max yelled and I laughed, pulling away from the kiss.

"Why? We can't make out in front of you guys? Is that it? You want to send us to our room where we're completely alone, free to do WHATEVER we want?" I said.

Peter grumbled something like, "When you put it that way, it does sound like the better choice." I rolled my eyes as the other boys laughed.

"You guys are no fun." I mumbled and crossed my arms over my chest, pouting a bit.

Soon, all the boys were watching TV in the living room. Except Felix. I frowned and looked around, counting heads. I walked to Felix's room and knocked on the door. When I didn't hear an answer, I turned the knob only to be surprised as the door was unlocked. I walked into the room and noticed the note on the bed, the open window and the flying curtains. I picked up the note and read to aloud to myself.
