Chapter 3
They kept pushing me along like I was a prisoner of some sort.
I growled under my breath and glared at Peter. "You better get me out of here...." I whispered as the boys pushed me past him and Peter gave me a weak smile. I cussed under my breath and then stood where the boys stopped me. I gritted my teeth and started fiddling with the rope to untie it. Felix walked up to me and I noticed all the boys were in a large circle, sending glares at me. I glared at him.
Felix smirked and, in one swift movement, held a dagger to my throat. "Tell us," he started and I tried biting his hand, "where the stowaways are."
I smirked. "I'll never tell you you son of a-" My ropes were tightened and I squealed a little.
My heart was beating fast as Felix held the dagger to my throat again."Tell me where they are," he growled and the ropes on my hands tightened once again. I cringed and made the noise of a wounded dog. It really hurt. I could see that Peter was trying to find some way to help, his eyes darting back from Felix to me. I could tell he didn't want to have the lost boys thinking he was weak but he also didn't want to show them that he had no mercy for me.
I struggled and whined, whimpers escaping my mouth each time the ropes were tightened. My circulation was starting to stop and my vision was growing dark. My eyelids became very heavy and hard to keep open.
"Peter...." I whispered and his horrified face was the last thing I saw before my vision went black.
No One's POV
As Lexi's body fell to the ground, Felix scowled. "All she did was whimper and whine."Peter's facial expression quickly changed to anger. "Everybody to the tent, now." The lost boys holding Lexi's ropes tried taking her with them. "Leave her here." Peter commanded and the boys dropped her and rushed inside the tent. Peter advanced towards Lexi quickly. He untied her ropes as fast as possible and set her on her back. He noticed the lack of color on her face.
Her wrists were bleeding fairly from the rope burns and Peter ripped off the sleeves of his shirt to wrap them for her. He looked at her face again and saw a little color was coming back.
Despite the consequences, Lexi had not said a word about Emma and her crew. And once Hook found out that Lexi had gotten hurt on Peter's account.... Well, he would be furious. Lexi was his pride and joy. It was hard enough for Peter to see Lexi hurt this badly but to hear her father's wrath....
Everything had changed between Hook and Pan when Hook brought Lexi to him. Lexi was small- about 8 years old or so- and didn't understand what was going on. Hook looked remorseful as he told Pan what the situation was.
"I can't keep her with me anymore."
"And what, you expect me to take he in?!"
"Yes and no, I expect you to care for her. She's lost. She's a Lost Girl." He said and Peter shook his head.
"It doesn't work like that, Hook."
"Please, Pan. I need this favor. Please." Lexi looked at him with big, blue/green eyes and Peter sighed.
"Fine. Only because you don't want to be a father anymore."
Peter moved Lexi so she sat in his lap. It was unlike Peter to be this concerned. But she was an exception.
Peter kept her warm by giving her his jacket and putting a blanket on top of her. He shivered a little bit, but she needs his jacket more. Pan started a fire and made sure she got warm.
A few hours later and after much worrying, Lexi started waking up. She groaned and turned on to her stomach, folding her arms in front of her face and tried sleeping again. Pan ran over just in time to hear her say,
"Can someone turn off the sun please?" He chuckled and Lexi looked up. "You stay away from me," she backed up a little bit and Peter frowned."And why should I do that?"
"Because. I asked you to help me by getting me out of there. I thought you changed, Peter."
Pan shook his head. "Lex, I have changed, for you. Please, forgive me."
There was no smirk on his face, there was no smile, just regret and pain.
Lexi sighed. "Just this once, and only this once." Pan nodded, knowing she might need her space and started to pace. After a few minutes, Lexi groaned again. "Oh, for G-D's sake, Peter! Just come over here!" Peter did so, grudgingly, and say next to her. She rested her head on his shoulder.
"Look, Peter, I'm fine, I really am.""No, you're not fine! Your wrists are all torn up, you passed out from no circulation and blood loss. You call that being fine?!"
Lexi sighed. "Peter, you're being over dramatic." Pan held out her wrists for her and untie one of them. She gasped at how raw it was. "Oh my god." And then she started tearing up and sobbing. Pan held her tightly, promising to never let go of her.
The sobbing reminded him of when Lexi had swung on a vine and crashed into a tree when she was ten.
"Peter!!! Watch this!!!" She gripped the vine ever so tightly and swung, then the vine turned mid-swing and she crashed face-first into a tree. She was on the ground and the pain was so intense that she was sobbing. Peter ran over quickly and kneeled beside her.
"Lex, you okay?" he asked quietly and she looked up at him with a bloody nose, back eye, fat lip, and tears streaming down her face.
"Do I look okay?!?!" She yelled, and he frowned.
"Lexi....."
"I swung into a tree, you doormat. What do you think?"
He chuckled. She was so feisty. "No, but c'mon, let's go get Danny and see if he can help to clean you up a bit." She nodded and got up, walking to the tent.
She turned her face into his chest, and he rested his chin on her head. "Lex, I promise, you'll be fine. Everything will be okay."
She shook her head. "You don't know that, wh-what if they try to hurt me again?!"
"Sh, Lex, I promise they won't. I promise."
Lexi sighed and wiped her eyes. "If you say so, Captain jerkface."
"Hey, I thought we were done with the nicknames!" he said, smiling.
"Nope!" She got up and he chased her around the fire. Eventually, she stood back and tripped him as he tried to stop, and pinned him to the ground. She looked into his eyes. "Hiya, darlin'." she said, smiling and he smirked.
"Hi." She pressed her lips to his and slowly pulled away.
They walked into the tent, careful not to make a noise in case the lost boys were sleeping. Felix was still awake though, sharpening his dagger. Lexi yelped and jumped behind Pan. "P-P-Peter.... Do something!"
Felix smirked. "Afraid of me now, are you Lexi?" He asked still holding his knife. Lexi gripped Pan's shirt and his behind him. The dagger was too much for her. And the smirk increased the vivid emotions and the memory of the scene with the knife against her throat..... It all made her pass out.
Pan felt her grip loosen immediately and caught her quickly. Felix smirked. "Why do you help her still?" he asked and Pan shrugged.
"Because. I just do."
Lexi awoke an hour later, slumped in a chair. She groaned and gripped the blanket that covered her, trying to stay warm. Eventually, she sat up, her eyes still closed, and put her hands out towards the fire. Peter smiled and sat next to her.
"You awake yet?" he asked, laughing a little and knocked on her head.
"Ow, don't do that. It hurts," she spoke, her voice was a sleepy one.
He only laughed a little more. She stayed in front of the fire and wished for a breakfast. Like pancakes. Mmmm, pancakes. Pancakes are yummy. Anyways, back to the story....
