Chapter 12

Behind me was something I hadn't seen before. I turned around slowly only to see a raging Tinkerbell, her face bright red. I laughed.

"What's your problem, hot head?" I asked cheekily and she glared at me.

"You know what my problem is! Stop filling their heads with stories, you're gonna give them brain damage!"

I laughed. "Tink, I know what you're really mad about. And sure, it's just stories to them, but they won't remember it much!" I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. When they come running back to you, saying they messed something up because of what you told them, don't come looking to me for help." she said angrily and left the house quickly. I sighed and looked at the boys as Tink stormed out of the house.

"Am I allowed to leave now?" I asked and the boys shrugged. I smirked and headed outside to find Peter, knowing he would be somewhere's that includes nature.

I headed down to the beach after looking through the woods. I kicked off my shoes and let the sand cover my toes. I took a deep breath and then let it out, relaxing a bit. I walked down the beach, looking around for Peter but also enjoying the view.

"Lex, there you are!" Peter said breathlessly, like he had been running.

"Here I am, and here you are too! I've been looking for you!" I said, smiling and he smiled back.

"I've been looking for you too," he said and laughed.

"Guess we were both looking in the wrong places," I said and he smiled again. An awkward silence filled the air until I spoke up again.

"So what was it you were looking for me for?" I asked and he moved in and pushed his lips against mine. He pulled away and smiled.

"That," he said before running away.

"Peter, you little tease!" I yelled, laughed, and ran afer him. I tackled him into the sand and he laughed, landing on his back.

"Well hello gorgeous," he said and smirked and I rolled my eyes before leaning down and kising him again, for longer this time. He smiled when we pulled away.

"It finally feels like we're ourselves again," he whispered and I nodded.

"Yeah, it really does." I whispered back and he kissed me again, this time sitting up. I smiled against his lips and wrapped my arms around his neck.

He pressed his forehead to mine, breathing a bit heavily as I did the same. He looked into my eyes and I looked into his.

"A perfect match will end his reign," he said quietly and I smiled.

"She who claims his love must attain," I said and he went on.

"The land will fall into a peaceful bliss-"

"All because of one enjoyable kiss." I giggled out the last part and he smiled.

"You are so cheesy," I said and his smile just got wider.

"Hey, it is a prophecy, it's not just me, you know," he said and I smiled.

"Yeah, I know, but I like blaming it on you. You get all defensive and its cute." I said and he smiled.

"Alright then, maybe I should get defensive more often, you seem to really enjoy it..." he said, smirking and then kissed me again.

Short, soft and sweet was Peter's preferred way to go when it came to me. Always has been. I was the exception to all of his rules.
