School was closed after the attack at the USJ. I received a message to my phone.

-The next day at school felt normal, no unknown field trips yet. I was sitting beside Tokoyami, my elbow on the desk as I laid against my palm.
"You guys! Did you watch the news last night? It was so cool that we got a few seconds of screen time! Though I bet no one noticed me hanging out in the background." Hagekure said.
"Probably not." Shoji said
"It is difficult to stand on when you're just gloves." Oijiro pointed out.
"We're totally big deals. Those news channels love us-- we're basically celebrities." Kaminari said. "Yeah it's kinda crazy right." Kirishima.
"Get over yourselves. We're the hero course that pumps out pros was attacked and that's what they care about."
I zoned out. Who knew joining the hero class was gonna be so chaotic?
Actually. That kinda contradicted itself. I should have joined the support course.
"Attention! Homeroom class is about to begin! Everyone stop talking and take your seats!" Iida zoomed into class.
"Uh, we're all sitting." Kirishima pointed out.
"Yeah, you're the only one standing." Sero said.
The door creaked open revealing Mr. Aizawa, I think, covered in bandages from head to toe.
"Morning class."
Is he even cleared to be teaching? "Mr. Aizawa! I'm glad your okay!" Iida announced.
He calls that okay?
"My well being is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet." I beg your pardon.
I'm about to drop out.
"The Ua sports festival is about to start."
"Why would you scare us like that!?"
Are we really gonna have a sports festival after that Attack.
"Is it really such a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside."
"They could attack once we're all in the same place."
"Apparently the administration thinks this is a good what to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever. Plus they're beefing up securitycompared to past years. This event is a huge opportunityfor all students at Ua. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains." Yeah right, a good way.
To broadcast our quirks and its uses on national TV, we got lucky before. They split us up because the had no idea what our quirks were, they could very well be planning a better attack.
Especially if they find out our quirks. The threat hasn't been handled, the ring leader and his warp gate escaped.
"Uhh. I'm sorry but why not, it's just a sports festival!" Mineta asked.
"Huh? Mineta, don't you know how important this competition is?" Midoriya asked.
"Of course I do. I just don't wanna get murdered." I hate that he's saying something so relatable.
"Our sports festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic games. But then quirks started appearing. Now the Olympics have been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters. The Ua Sports festival." Mr. Aizawa said.
"That's right. And top heroes everywhere will be watching. This is where you get scouted." Momo announced.
"Sure, unless you're dead." Mineta said.
"She's right. After graduating, a lot of people join pro agencies as a side kicks." Kaminari said proudly until Jirou knocked him down.
"Yeah, but that's as far as some people go. They miss their chance to go indie and stay eternal sidekicks. Actually, that's probably where you're headed. You're kinda dumb."
"It's true that joining a famous hero agency can garner you great experience and popularity. That's why the festival matters. If you wanna go pro one day, then this event could open the path for you. Once chance a year. Three chances in a lifetime. No aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival. That means you better not slack off on your training. Class is dismissed."
-
I shoved some rice in my mouth. "Is it bad to say I'm wary of doing these games." Shoji said.
I nodded in agreement. "Me too. they're broadcasting our q-quirks on live TV. With the v-villains who a-attacked still out there." Tokoyami nodded.
"We shouldn't be thinking like that but it's true."
"What a morbid topic. I have a question for you Nakamura." I perked up when Aoyama spoke. "How come you wanna be a hero? I mean, if we're being honest, your anxiety is so bad it looks like anything could tip you over." He said bluntly.
Momo slapped his hand. "Aoyama! That's rude!"
"It's fine. H-honestly." I messed with my food. "I wanted to be a h-hero when I was y-younger, like most kids. It was just a fantasy of mines. I watched my dad on TV everyday, save people and defeat villains. I was with him the day he was killed. Everything happened really quickly, I don't really remember much. E-except for a hero placing me in my mom's arm.
I g-guess that's why I w-wanna be one. so I can save o-other people and put their f-families at ease." I said.
"How noble." Aoyama sniffled.
"That's quite the aspiration. You're probably the most grounded person in the class." Tokoyami said
"That's so sweet." Yaoyorozu complimented with a soft smile.
The bell gave a shrill ring. "I guess we should get going then."
