Evening

I walk back into Leblanc with the nice bell jingle on the door. Sojiro looks at me and tosses me a key. "Here, lock up the store when you come back from now on. I can't keep waiting for you to come back. You can go out if you need to, but if you cause just a bit of trouble, I'll kick you out. You can go die out there for all I care. Don't cause any problems for others around you. Well, goodnight." and he walks out. Did I get permission to leave? He didn't need to be so harsh about it though. The man really just told me to die out there. At the very least, it's a good thing I asked him to show me how to make coffee after cleaning the place a few times. That probably made him trust me a bit more. I always spend my evenings either helping out, cleaning, or learning how to make coffee. I've honestly hated coffee since I've never known how to make it, but now it's very nice that I know how to make it good. I never believed that Sojiro's curry and coffee were good, but I've been sorely mistaken. Having it on my third week here, I had made a pretty big scene. I'm there sitting, tearing up, and worshiping Sojiro for his god-like coffee and curry. I bet he was very weirded out, but he had offered to show me how to make coffee if I worked for him in the shop. I'd get some more food too. I never said yes to something so quickly.

Getting up, I turn off the lights and head out the door. I make sure to flip the sign to 'close' and lock it. Should I explore nearby or in Shibuya? The air is still so cold since it's January. Nearby it is for me. Oh! Since it's so crisp out, I could take a hot bath in the bathhouse. I go back to get some money, extra clothing, and a towel. Happily, I skip towards the bathhouse. Ya girl going to be mighty relaxed tonight!

Leaving the bathhouse, I sigh in extreme relief. My skin feels so soft and looks brighter than before. I've never felt so relaxed. I make my way home to sleep for classes tomorrow.

January 23, Saturday

Afterschool

The bell for the end of the last class ends, I begin to put my things together. Feeling a light tap on my shoulder, I look to find Suzui-san there. "Oh hey there, you need something?" I say with a small smile. "Ann was wondering if you'd like to come along with us to go shopping in the underground mall in Shibuya." She says in such a soft voice and smile. She's so cute. "Yeah! I'm totally down!" I get up and put the rest of my stuff away. I look at her and she begins to take me towards the front entrance of the school. "By the way, L/n-san, you don't have to call me Suzui. You can use my first name."She says."Wow! Thanks! You can do the same Shiho-san!" The conversation then goes quiet again. "How have you been feeling lately?" I say softly so only she can hear me. She very slightly finches and looks at me with a very nervous look. "It hasn't been that bad. I haven't been called out lately." Putting my hands behind me, "Again you can tell me when you need help. I know I haven't known you for long, but I can't stand watching you suffer while trying to do what you love. However, it's up to you to decide if you want help." Looking up, I see Ann by the gate. She sees us and waves with a big smile. She is so bright! We walk up to her and she looks at Shiho. "Hey, what's up? You seem a bit gloomy."She grabs Shiho's hands. "No, I'm good. I'm so excited to go shopping with the both of you!"She says with a cheery tone. Ann chuckles a bit and leads us to the station talking all the way. I got a more detailed understanding of the girls than the game ever gave me. Shiho is much gentler than I would have thought. Maybe it's cause she is holding herself back? Ann is happy and airheaded as she was in the game, but she is much less happy now than then. Likely cause of the stress of Kamoshida. Once at the mall, we look around and window shop. Stop to look at things that caught our interest. If I were to give something to Shiho, what could I get her? Maybe a ball bracelet? Or like something related to volleyball? Probably not. Possibly remind her of her pain. Looking at a shop with flowers, I see fake goldenrod in a clear glitter resin, with a gold-colored rim. To the left of the goldenrod, is a fake clematis with the same clear glittery resin, but with a silver-colored rim. To the right is a fake violet with the clear glitter resin, and a silver-colored rim. All the pendants are the size of a thumb. The shopkeeper notices me looking at the necklaces and says they are all a limited-time item because it's a prototype to see if they'd sell well. "Clematis means mental beauty, goldenrod means encouragement or good fortune, and violet means watchfulness, modesty, and faithfulness." Wow, they really attribute flowers to such things as watchfulness. "Could I buy the Clematis and the violet necklaces?" The lady smiles and nods. As she's rigging me up, I ask if she's hiring for any part-timers at the moment. "Actually, I am. Are you interested?" She asks. "Yeah!"
