Early Morning

Crap Crap Crap! I can't believe I woke up late on the first day the protagonist attends Sujin! Before I left, I left an umbrella beside Akira's bed while he was still sick; I'm not taking any chances of him getting sick. In reality, I'm actually earlier than usual. But in these circumstances, I need to arrive earlier than I usually would. Simply so I'd have a better chance of not getting dragged into Kamoshida's palace. Akira and Ryuji have got to get themselves out of there, I'm not supposed to be there. If I help them here, they might not have the conviction to reenter later. Then, I'd really be screwed. Although I am worried about the rise in difficulty I had caused, it should be fine. It's the protagonist I'm talking about, he HAS to be able to clear this obstacle.

Early Afternoon

The bell for lunch rings. Everyone stands, as the teacher leaves, and the chatter erupts.

"Have you seen the transfer student?"

"No, but I hear he got arrested for elephant tusk trafficking."

"What's with the influx of transfers this year? They're all convicts!"

Some of the many comments flying around the room.

This is really concerning. Those two still haven't shown up. I'm probably being paranoid, but Akira's supposed to show up before lunch! And yet I haven't heard anything about anyone seeing him! Did something really happen to them? Should I go in there and see for myself? Maybe their just running a little late?

"Y/N? You there?" Ann's hand waving in front of my face brings me out of my internal panic. "Huh? Yes?"

"Are you alright? Your face is really pale. Did you sleep enough?" She goes to reach for my face, but I catch her wrist. "Ah, I'm fine I swear! I had a pretty bad nightmare last night, and I was just thinking about it." With Ann's wrist in my hand, I catch sight of the necklace I got her long ago wrapped around it. "Aw Ann, you're wearing the necklace I got you!" My heart melts at the thought that she actually put that on. "Of course, I'm wearing it silly!" She wraps her arms around me and suddenly all the eyes in the room land on us. "Didn't you need something?" I assume as I snake out of her arms. "Oh! Right! Wanna come eat lunch with me and Shiho?"She bounces on her heels in excitement. Looking back at the necklace on her wrist. The Violet in the pendant is in full bloom. If I remember correctly the lady at the flower shop said these flowers stand for watchfulness, modesty, and faithfulness. "Out of the blue right, if you knew someone was in danger, would you help them?" Without a moment's hesitation, "Absolutely" With that, I rise out of my seat and head for the door. "I'm sorry Ann, I won't be able to join you two today. I've got to take care of something." And with that, I run out the door and down the flight of stairs.

Entering the palace again, I head in from the air duct from before. Even before entering the room, I hear the clanking and running of a large number of soldiers outside of the room. Seems like the boys have been caught already. After looking around, I jump out of the air duct and begin to head toward the dungeon.
