Autobots and Werewolves part 5

Optimus
As I looked down at Jack as he fell asleep I got up and moved him to my berth room. I placed him on a bed I had in there for humans. I sat next to him as I began to read the data pads for information about the Energon levels and what we have left in storage. I heard a sound coming from the monitor in the main area and I got up and went over to it and saw it was raw Energon on the move. I look to my Autobots and see they are ready to move out, Cliffjumper, Arcee, and Bumblebee roll out. Bulkhead and Ratchet keep an eye on the pups, I turn and head out of the ground bridge with the others. Once we landed we sat the velcrons were moving a lot of Energon to Starscreams ship. As I was about to instruct the others on a plan when the ground bridge opened and out came the children/pups. I was really upset that Ratchet and bulkhead couldn't watch them but they are kids and they can be very mischievous. I watch as they landed and I could see their eyes beginning to glow.

Before I or the others can call out to them Jack gave a howl and they all charged at the velcrons. As the rest and I  watched as they took them down in groups until it was just Starscream left he snarled at them and tried to hit them. That's when my carrier protocols went online and I ran over to them and prevent Starscream from striking them. I snarled at Starscream and punched him away from my sparkling. I stood protectively over them as he got up and transformed and flew away. As I turned to look at the children they were looking around in confusion and the glow in their eyes faded away. I approached them and asked How did you three get here? Jack looked at me and said " We felt you guys leave and knew that you were in danger and we knew we had to come and help you. And how we got here that was easy considering that we can tiptoe on our paws and Raf was able to soundproof the ground bridge with his howl so we can get here.  

I look at them as they seem happy for helping out, I smile behind my face mask. I am just glad you are okay but please reframe from doing that again and I'm pretty sure that if you were to do it again Ratchet would have a spark attack. Speaking of Ratchet we need to get you guys back, Ratchet opened a ground bridge. I turn to the children and watched as they walked through to Ratchet and Bulkhead who look very surprised to see the children walking through the vortex with us. I will explain later old friend I told him when he gave me a look of confusion as to why the children are with us. As I told Ratchet to remain here to watch the children until we finished clearing out the mine full of fresh Energon that we have acquired thanks to the children's help we now have an unlimited supply of Energon. 

~~~~~A Few Hours Later~~~~~

Narrators POV 

It is now nightfall and the bots are all asleep except for Jack, as he lays in his bed at his house. He is alone his mother is at work and he can't sleep. So he gets up and walks out of his house after locking it and heading out to the desert area away from population and transforms and takes off running.  As he runs with the wind in his fur and the moonlight shining on his coat he gets to his den that shows the whole landscape below. As he stands there overlooking the place he feels a gentle poke at the back of his mind. Confused until he remembers that he shares a bond with Optimus. Jack pokes back and lets him in,( What are you doing awake little one?) Jack melts at the name and says ( Nothing just couldn't sleep so I went to my den to burn out some energy.) He said hoping he doesn't know about the dreams he has been having that keep him awake at night. The kind that gives you a chill in the dead of night, the creepy silence that creeps up like anxiety. He shivered at the thought of it, he turned to look outside the den entrance when he heard the sound of someone approaching. He was about to hide when ( Easy there little one, it just me.)

He looked up and saw Optimus standing there at the entrance the moon shining on his red and blue coat making it brighter and the moon making his eyes glow showing his calming blue eyes that look like the color of an ocean in them. When Jack looked into his eyes he felt warmth and comfort from them. As Optimus came down close to Jack and nuzzled his head licking his head as well.  

Optimus laid down next to his sparkling and waited for Jack to lay next to him, Optimus can feel the fear in Jack's mind, and with a feather-light touch, he urged Jack to talk to him. Jack looked at Optimus and lay next to him soaking in the warmth the bigger wolf gave off. Jack sighed heavily and opened his mind to Optimus letting him see his fears. The fears are fueled by nightmares that came from painful memories that he had experienced as a kid when he was out in the countryside. Some evil humans found him and captured him and experimented on him, he was gone for 3 years until he escaped and ran off to his mother where she immediately moved them to Nevada to a city there called Jasper. Where they stayed for 5 years and among those years he met Miko and Rafael. He hasn't told anyone this not even his mother or his pack, Jack can feel Optimus in his mind and it didn't feel like he was suffocating for once he felt like he can breathe.  He relaxed so much he didn't realize when Optimus left his mind and he fell asleep cuddling against Optimus for the rest of the night. 

Optimus looked down at his sparkling and thought of how much pain his sparkling went through when he was younger and it still haunts him now to this day. Optimus huffs and curls around Jack and watches over him for the rest of the night.

 Hello, my Lovies sorry I took so long making this it's been a hard beginning of a new year for me and I hadn't had time to write until now.
