90. butterflies & hogsmeade

"HE'S GOT FLOWERS," Inez whispered in Claudia's ear. "Merlin, you two are so sweet! And disgusting at the same time!"

"Says the girl who literally won't shut up about her girlfriend to the point where I once had to throw a shoe at her face," Claudia snorted.

"Not my fault Marlene is so fucking hot."

"No, but it's most certainly your fault that you can't shut up."

"Stop being so sassy and go get your man," Inez said, pointing right at a seemingly slightly nervous Remus. "Rowena, he looks so nervous! It's truly adorable."

Claudia smiled sheepishly at the sight of the flustered boy who was waiting for her with a bouquet of flowers.

"Hello? Earth to Claudia," Inez cooed, that after having tried to catch her attention for a while.

"What?" Claudia asked, still not taking her eyes off of the boy who was yet to spot her.

"I just wanted to say have a good time," Inez chuckled. "But you clearly will, so just remember to wear protection!"

"Merlin, Inez, we're not going to shag in Hogsmeade!" Claudia whisper-shouted.

"No, but the clock is ticking and it's most definitely going to happen soon!" Inez said cheekily, giving Claudia a small push and then running off with a big smile on her face.

The brunette girl rolled her eyes and walked towards Remus, who had now spotted her and suddenly looked a little less nervous.

"Hi," Claudia said, standing in front of him with a dazed smile on her face.

"Hi," Remus responded, leaning down and giving her a quick kiss on the lips. "You ready?"

"Sure am," Claudia said softly.

"Good," Remus replied, and then he slowly handed her the flowers with a sheepish smile on his face. "I've got you flowers."

"I see that," Claudia smiled, accepting the bouquet of lilies and daffodils. Her favourite.

"It's probably a bit cheesy, but-"

"Sometimes cheesy things are the best things," Claudia smiled, taking his hand and giving it a squeeze. "I love them. Thank you."

The pair left the school after that and headed all the way to Hogsmeade, where plenty of students were enjoying the final Hogsmeade visit before Christmas by doing some shopping, playing in the snow and drinking butterbeer.

Claudia and Remus ended up, much to both of their preference, at the Three Broomsticks with a glass of butterbeer each.

"So, I actually wanted to ask you something," Claudia said after taking her first sip of butterbeer.

"Yeah?"

"You once asked me what I want to do when I'm older," she said. "And that got me thinking, what do you want to do?"
