Chapter fourteen

Natasha's POV
"Come on Nat we're going to be late," Clint said from the car.
"Just give me a sec will ya," I shot back.
I walked back into the school and grabbed something from my locker.
"Are you ready?" Clint asked.
"Yes."
"What's that?" He asked pointing to the box I just grabbed from my locker.
"Nothing of your concern."
We drove together to Steve's house and I left the box in the car when we went inside.
"Hey guys," Bucky said.
"Hey," Clint and I said in unison.
"How did you get here before us Sam."
"I don't know I just did."
"So where do you guys want to go?" I asked.
"I don't care as long as it's fun," Steve said excited about the fact he got to leave.
"How about we go to restaurant," Sam suggested
"Ok but we have to wait for everyone else," I chimed in.
"Who are we missing?" Bucky asked.
"Thor, Loki, Tony, and Bruce."
"Tony and Bruce are in the driveway," Steve said nodding his head towards the window.
"And Thor and Loki are on their way," Sam said checking his phone.
"What restaurant are we going to?" Clint asked.
"I don't care as long as it's good."
"Define good."
"Good point."
"I don't think any of us really care where we go."
"Everybody's here so we may as well head out."
"Ok."
Clint and I drove together to the restaurant that we all chose.
"whats in the box?" Clint asked me again.
"I told you it's none of your business."
"But it's bothering me."
"Well to bad."
"But I want to know."
"Well I'm not going to tell you."
"Why not."
"Because."
"Because why."
"Just because."
"That's stupid."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is."
"Well I don't think it's stupid."
"Well I do."
"The only reason you think it's stupid is because you want to know what's in the box."
"True but still." Clint said. "But will you just tell me."
"Nope."
"Why not."
"Because it's a secret."
"What kind of secret."
"A secret that's not mine to tell."
"Oh so it's somebody else's secret that you know."
"It's more than that."
"Oh really, what else is it."
"It's every secret anyone has ever told me."
"Seriously, you wrote them all down."
"Well I don't want to forget."
"That's the weirdest thing ever."
"Well you wanted to know what was inside the box."
"Well you still haven't told me why the secrets are."
"And I never will."
"why not."
"Because I don't trust you."
"When will you trust me."
"Never."
"Why not."
"Because I don't trust anybody."
"Why not."
"Because I just don't."
"Has something bad happened to you when you trusted somebody."
"Yes."
"Well I promise that I will never break your trust if you give it to me."
"How do I know if I can trust you."
"You'll know."
We arrived at the restaurant and we sat down with the rest of the group. Steve and Bucky were the last ones to arrive. Loki and Thor told stories from the country they came from and most of it was hard to believe. Clint did a bunch of stupid stuff and almost got us kicked out of the restaurant. Steve sat there smiling and occasionally sneaking peaks at Bucky. Bucky pretty much did the same thing but he was a little more open about it. The waiter wasn't the brightest because we asked for beers and he gave them to us. We drank and laugh and again almost got kicked out. The more drunk Steve and Bucky got the more open they were. We were playing truth or dare back at Steve's house when all hell broke loose.
"Truth." Bucky said.
"Tell us who you kissed that night." Sam asked.
"Steve." Bucky said.
Everybody stopped for a minute and then they started to laugh.
"Oh stop playing with us Buck who did you really kiss."
I could see the pained look on Bucky's face but he went with the flow.
"Natasha." Bucky said.
"I knew it." Sam yelled. "Was it good Nat."
"The second best kiss I ever had." I said winking at Bucky.
"What's the first."
"I'm not telling." I said looking over at Clint.
"Oh I see how it is." Sam said.
"Hey guys where's Steve?" Bucky asked.
"I don't know, he was just here." I said.
"Steve." Bucky yelled.
"Where did he go?" Sam asked.
"I don't know." Bucky said panicking.
"Dude I'm sure he's fine you don't have to freak out." Sam said.
"Yes I do have to freak out, I don't know where he went."
"But you don't have to be all dramatic about it."
"I'm not being dramatic."
"Yes you are."
"Help me find him."
"He's fine Bucky."
"No he's not."
"Gods your so overdramatic."
"How would you feel if you were in my position."
"I am in your position and I'm reacting very calmly."
"You have no idea what position I'm in."
"Yes I do, your his best friend, so am I."
"Well maybe I'm more than just his friend."
"Oh please your no more of a friend to him than I am."
"You take that back."
"Relax dude what's wrong with you."
"Steve is mine and you need to learn your place."
"Wait you were serious about the whole kissing Steve thing."
"Yes."
"Seriously."
"Yes seriously."
"That's the stupidest thing ever."
"What do you mean that's the stupidest thing ever."
"What if the team finds out."
"Finds out what?"
"Finds out that your gay."
"They'll just have to deal with it."
"I don't want to be a part of this."
"Why do you mean by that."
"I don't know how people are going to recast to this and I don't want to be looked at like that either."
"Like what."
"Like what you are."
"And what's that supposed to mean."
"Look don't take this the wrong way but-" Sam was cut off by Bucky punching him in the face. Sam stumbled back to the floor, nose bleeding. Bucky tried to continue beating him up but Clint and Thor held him back. Tony, Bruce, and Loki went over to Sam. Steve rolled over to where we were all standing and sat in shock.
"What the hell happened?" He asked.
"Steve." Bucky yelled with tears in his eyes.
"What happened?" Steve asked Bucky.
"I punched Sam in the face."
Steve looked at Sam and the others on the floor and gave direct orders.
"Tony, Bruce, And Loki you go upstairs with Sam and get him patched up, if he needs a hospital there's a phone up there you can use to call an ambulance. Clint, Natasha, and Thor you stay down here with Bucky and I."
"Ok." Tony said dragging Sam up the stairs.
