40.Katie Bell

~A few weeks later~

I was in the library with Luna, Daphne, and Pansy. We were hanging out since we had a free period. "Hey why don't we go to Hogsmeade after school, what do y'all think?" asked  Pansy "uuu that's would be fun" said Daphne, as me and Luna nodded. "So Luna how are things going with Blaise?" Asked Daphne "it's actually going quite lovely" said Luna and we all smiled "that's good" I said. We all kept talking before we parted ways to our next class.

~After school~

Elizabeth POV:
It was finally the end of the day and I went up to my room and started getting ready for Hogsmeade. I decide to wear some tights with a plaid skirt, a simple black sweater, and some black boots. I finished getting ready and meet Pansy and Daphne, we were gonna meet Luna at the courtyard. "Hey Luna" I said as we arrived at the courtyard "hi" she said "well let's go" said Daphne.

We arrived at Hogsmeade "so what should we do" I asked "let's get some butterbeer at the The Three Broomsticks" said Pansy, and we all nodded. We arrived at The Three Broomsticks and I told the girls to sit down and I'll get the drinks. I got the drinks and made my way to the girls. "Thank you Elle" said Luna "your welcome" I said "here" said Luna she was handing me 2 Sickles "no luna don't be ridiculous I got it it's okay no need to pay me" I said and she just nodded and put the 2 sickles back in her bag.

We enjoyed our butterbeer, and walked around for a bit. Until we saw something crazy, Katie Bell rose into the air gracefully, her arms outstretched, as though she was about to fly. Yet there was something wrong, something eerie. Her hair whipped her by the fierce wind, but her eyes were closed and her face was quite empty of expression. Then, six feet above the ground, Katie let out a terrible scream. Her eyes flew open but whatever she could see, or whatever she was feeling, was clearly causing her terrible anguish.

  "OMG" exclaimed Pansy "it is seems like she's been hurt" said Daphne I went to step closer when Hagrid appeared with Harry,Ron,and Hermione "Everyone stay back" said Hagrid. As he carried Katie, "what happened" asked Hermione "I don't know, me, Luna, Pansy, and Daphne have been here and all of a sudden we heard a scream I turn around and see Katie Bell in the floor and that necklace" I said while pointing to the necklace.

"Let's go back, we need you to tell Dumbledore what you saw" said Ron. We all returned back at Hogwarts, I told the girls bye and went with Hermione, Ron, and Harry. "Okay so what happened" asked Dumbledore "so I was at Hogsmeade with Pansy, Daphne and Luna, we went to the Three Broomstick and got some butterbeer after that we walked around for a bit when we all heard an awful scream We all turned around and saw Katie Bell on the floor next to this necklace" I explained

"what kind of necklace" asked Dumbledore "I don't know but it was like a green with gold detail I don't know how to explain it" I said "by the way Katie bell reacted I'm certain that, that was the Opal Necklace" said Dumbledore "the Opal what?" Asked Ron "this necklace is incredibly dangerous it's cursed to potentially kill anyone it touches" said Dumbledore

"wait that doesn't make sense why would there be a cursed necklace in the middle of Hogsmeade" I said "then someone bought it from Borgin and Burkes to try and kill someone" said Dumbledore "but why would they want to kill Katie bell??" Asked Hermione "maybe it was meant for someone else and Katie Bell touched it" said Dumbledore

"it was Malfoy Im certain it was him" blurred out Harry "What!" I exclaimed "Harry why on Salzara Slytherin would Draco have anything to do with this you can't just blame him" I said "Elle, he was at Borgin and Burkes I'm pretty sure he purchased that to kill someone" said Harry

"Harry just because you saw him at Borgin and Burkes doesn't mean he bought that necklace, Draco hasn't even left the school grounds since he has arrived you can't blame him for that!"
I said "Merlin, Elle I'm sorry to break it to you but your ex-boyfriend is not good news" said Harry "HARRY! How could you, he's done nothing wrong your blaming him for absolutely no reason, what did I tell you on the train HuH? I told you that you shall not disrespect Draco like that in front of me, you have no prove of him getting that necklace" I spat "Elle you have to realize Draco is not the same as he was, he's evil" said Harry
