I woke up with my face stuck to a silk covered pillow. I groan and stretch, pealing the pillow from my skin beside my mouth. Oh gross.... I was drooling...

I push my way through the pillows and meet sunlight flooding in through the skylights of Ty's hut. I stand up and stretch myself and my tail before wandering off to find Ty. The quiet sound of someone humming comes from the kitchen and I start to recognise the melody. I hum along but can't catch the name. I gently push open the door and see Ty's muscular back showing while he cooks wearing brown loose pants and swishing his tail to the beat of the tune. I step in further and hum a harmony making him turn around and his energy flushes from green to pink in seconds. I giggle when he blushes a little and turns around again to keep cooking. He was very well built. Not bulky like a dwarven warrior, but lean and strong, like a wolf would be. His tummy muscles stuck out to me but I love a nice back. Which is what was in front of me. I blush a little and go to sit by the open window with sunlight streaming in over red tulips in a window box outside.

"Good morning, Ty!" I sing and he chuckles still concentrating on his food.

"Did you sleep well, Minx?" He lifted his finger to his face and stroked the corner of his mouth looking at me like he was containing a laugh. I furrowed my brows confused until I realised he was gesturing to the sticky saliva on my cheek. Hastily, I rub it off and feel my face burn up as he laughs and laughs at me. I stand up and playfully shove his arm and sniff the air.

"Mmm, smells good. What you making?" I ask trying to look over his shoulder at what he is plating up. Before I catch a gimpse he turns around knocking me back and takes two plates to the table, setting them down opposite eachother. I sit down behind one and I swear I start drooling again at the amazing plate of eggs and bread with another bowl of fruit and yogurt beside it.

"Dig in." As if on queue, my tummy rumbles and makes me hug it trying to shut it up. Ty grins opposite me and I instantly tuck in, not realising how hungry I really was.

After we're both done and cleaned both of our plates, Ty gets dressed, packs a bag of supplies and potions and ingredients and goes into another room to get out his weapons. Surprisingly, he comes back holding a large case of armour.

"It's for the wolf." He smirked and pushed it into an infinity bag along with a few daggers and extra books he may need. After he prepared his bags, he got out his weapons. He strapped dual swords to his back and had a bow and full quiver attached to his hip. He slung on the bag over his shoulders and looked around the place.

"Right. Ready to go?" I nod and smile with my things all strapped up before we both head outside and begin walking into the woodland again. Ty's leg is completely healed and he seems to know the way to the Shire after all, he has studied hundreds of maps.

After walking and chatting mindlessly for a while in the crisp early air, I decide to have some fun. I smirk deviously to Ty and his face turns to that of confusion. I laugh and shout behind me, "Come on!" I run and change into a large wolf and start to run without tiring myself. Ty laughs behind me and quickly catches up, slightly bigger than me but his grey fur stays sleek even as we run through the twigs and leaves.

We keep running for a long time, not getting tired at all. We passed over plains and through forests, rocky hillsides and rivers before coming to rest on a cliffs outlook and change back laughing at each other after we played stupid games in wolf form. Ty set up the fire and I went to grab us a few rabbits. Easy game.

This carried on for a week and a half just running and camping, playing games and explaining our own little tricks and tips to each other. Ty's quiver was enchanted so it would never run out of arrows and his dual blades were both poisoned. I told him about Kili and Fili and Thorin, and I explained to him what our quest might involve. After we told a few stories each night, we'd fall asleep by the fire. Not together of course but always there for each other. Like a pack should be. I was so happy there was finally someone the same as me who I could relate to. For example, getting sick from eating things as a wolf then changing too soon. I had been ill for a month after drinking from a puddle and Ty had coughed up fur balls after wolfing down a few rabbits without cooking them properly.
