NIA'S POV

The afternoon draws near as Nia places a written letter in the marketplace to declare a town meeting at the cantina to be held later in the day. The Mandalorian has been even more distant and cold ever since their conversation in the woods. They both spend the rest of the day not speaking to each other. Later on in the evening, while residents are gathering at the cantina for an important announcement, Mando has spent the entire time staring at her as he sat at a table in the back corner. His presence is getting on her nerves. She can literally feel his eyes looking her up and down behind that dark visor. His shiny helmet following her as she walks around greeting each person as they enter the establishment.

Even though he's been limping on crutches all day, his movements remain controlled, smooth and dangerous, like a tiger preparing to strike. The situation would be far less annoying if he wasn't so fucking attractive. She hasn't seen his face, but he has that husky, baritone voice that makes her mouth water every time. Still, she can't ignore the strong temptation she has to bring this untouchable and fierce Mandalorian down to a level like any other man. It's a deep desire to see him fall apart under her touch, and to hear him beg as she milks him of every drop of seed he has. She's torn. She knows it's wrong and sinful. He is her patient as well as a reputable bounty hunter who most likely has been looking for her. So why does she still find him so alluring?

DIN'S POV

He has to keep reminding himself that she's his enemy and the quarry he's been searching for. He supposed to be hating her, but a sick part of him enjoyed watching her chest rise and fall the way it did when he caught her asleep next to him. He keeps trying to ignore the way his pants gets tight in the front as he imagines pressing his body against hers, and her soft skin yielding under his hands. He wonders what sounds she will make, what would she taste like, and would she allow him to bury his face in her....No! He needs to stop.

She has saved his life and has continued to offer her services to him, even though she knows he's been hunting her. He has never felt this conflicted about a quarry, not since Grogu. He doesn't truly want to hurt her. She has done nothing to hurt him and has been tending to his wounds. He enjoys watching her interact with the townspeople as they take their seats in the cantina. He likes to see how everyone is so pleased to see her. She clearly has had a positive effect in this village. Unlike with him, his presence alone is normally negative as people tend to avoid him entirely. The faster he can get the hell out of here the better. Although doesn't know where he'd go or what he'd do. He doesn't belong to anything or anyone. This is the life he's wanted though, at this is what he keeps telling himself over and over again.

————————

"Ok settle down everyone," Nia announces as she tries to get everyone's attention.

"What's this all about Asra?" Max says as he closes up the cash register behind the bar.

"I'm afraid I have bad news," Nia says with concern in her voice. "Those bandits have been working on restoring an AT-AT. It wouldn't be long before they have it fully up and running again. As long as we work together I'm sure we can figure out a plan."

The cantina erupted in arguments as people start yelling:

"We are just farmers!"

"That thing will kill us all!"

"What about the children?!"

Nia tries to calm the crowd down but they kept shouting at each other:

"We're all doomed!"

"We should contact the New Republic!"

"We can't fight all of them!"

To put an end to all of the yelling, Nia reaches down to unsheathed her lightsaber. She holds it up in front of her face and ignites the turquoise blade with a loud hum. The entire cantina goes instantly silent, even Mando seems to be shocked as he immediately sits up taller in his chair.
