PS, for the scores in the imagine, just assume it's out of 10 since the ISU Judging System is kinda complicated -

Jongho's POV

"Attention please!" my coach yelled above the chatter of my teammates. They immediately stopped talking and perked their ears.

"Listen up everyone. Pair skating is up first in forty minutes. The men's singles rounds will commence after them, followed by the ladies' singles. Ice dance will be after singles. We have all prepared well for this, and I trust that you will all do your best. If you get a medal today, that's great. If you don't get a medal today, that's good too. Because if you did your best and enjoyed yourself, you are just as much of a winner as anyone who steps onto that podium today. I believe in all of you!"

"Fighting!" the team yelled in sync. Everyone splattered into their seperate directions; either by themselves or with their partners in the case of pair skating and ice dance. I've always wanted to do pair skating, but there were no other girls that were up for participating in the Winter Olympics. Although the men's singles weren't starting for quite a while, I still decided to head over to the locker rooms to get dressed and warm up. I preferred a thorough warmup over a rushed one.

I took my time, mentally hyping myself up while I listened to some upbeat music. It always helped me focus on creating a positive mindset.

Once I had dressed, I put on my sweatpants and a hoodie over my costume. It was always better to start off a warm up with too many layers of clothing. In my own headspace, I walked with a bit of a skip in my step towards the ice rink. Many contestants were already gliding along the ice.

I took a deep breath before I started off with a light jog along the length of the rink. I had a feeling that a promising competition was waiting upon me.

After twenty minutes of intense stretching, I finally headed over to the mini stadium left open for the contestants next to the ice rink. Many spectators were slowly filling up the rest of the stadium. It was still about fifteen minutes until the start of the first performances.

"Jongho? Is that you?"

I turned around with surprise. Before me stood a person I didn't expect I'd see around so soon - y/n, a girl I've met before at numerous other competitions. She was like a genuine friend to me, although we only saw each other at competitions and barely had time to hang out outside of competing and training. Her smile widened when our eyes met.

"It is you! I didn't expect to see you here." She unexpectedly threw her arms around my neck. I was a bit taken aback, but quickly returned the hug.

"Of course it's me," I laughed.

"What a small world." She beamed.

"I think you mean competition."

We both broke out in laughter. To me, the moment was probably more precious than to her. I guess you could say that I had a not-so-small crush on her. Either way, it was nice to see her again after a while.

"So, how have you been? I know we saw each other two weeks ago, but it feels like it's been longer," y/n rambled excitedly.

It definitely felt longer.

"I'm actually really good. Just been busy with preparations for the Winter Olympics, and now we are finally here. How about you?"

"Basically the same. What are you participating in?"
