23•|Lusting Damage

Orchid's POV:

It's warm, almost like being wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold winter's night. It almost makes me forget how cold I was yesterday, can I stay like this a little while longer? This smell...it's becoming safe for me. Comforting, I want to drown within it. Even as I snuggle deeply, it's not enough for me...

Suddenly, a light knocking could be heard. Confused, I slowly began to open my eyes. The light skies were the first thing I saw peeking through the window. Still, in a daze, I gradually sat up, but it was strange...a cold chill ran up my shoulder. Looking down, I saw that the bed sheets had dropped and exposed my bare breasts! Shocked, I quickly lifted the bed sheets back up and pressed them against my chest. My nipples had hardened from the sudden chills as I started looking around the room! Seeing that I was still in Grayson's room, I instantly thought back to what happened last night.

It's bizarre, but I don't remember much of yesterday. One minute, Gray has me pinned down against the bed...after that, I'm kinda lost at what came after that. Running my fingers through my disheveled hair, I felt something lightly pulling along the bedsheets. Startled, I looked over to the side of the bed and had to immediately cover my mouth so I wouldn't scream!

With my heart racing, my hands began to tremble as I was at a loss for words! What is Grayson doing here- I mean, yeah this is his room. But why is he sleeping next to me? Wait, did we do anything last night?! Damnit, think Orchid! This doesn't look good, he has no shirt on either! Are we both naked!? Too nervous to look, I carefully slipped out of the bed to not wake him up. Seeing that I still had my pants on, I felt a little bit calm. But I still have to hurry and change! Noticing that my bra and shirt were on the floor, I quickly picked them up and placed them on!

Once I was done, I looked back at Grayson who was still in a deep sleep. I have no idea when he came into bed with me, but I must've been really tired if I didn't hear him. As I approached the bed, I stared at his calming expression. He looked peaceful...it's hard to imagine that he becomes a dangerous wolf. But I won't deny how harmless he appears now, even as the sun slowly begins to rise. His smooth structure was sharp, almost like a canvas...he's beautiful. Along with everyone else in his family- wait, didn't he say he had a brother last night? Did he mean, an actual blood-related brother? Because Marissa has never mentioned having another sibling.

It's like, the closer I get to him...the more I want to learn about him. His true self, the good...and even the bad. I want to understand him, am I perhaps crossing a line, knowing well that I have Damien? Does it make it wrong to want to be there for someone? I don't want to hurt him...but it aches me...the distance that I put between us. Is it my fault for pushing Damien away, or was it both our fault? Conflicted, I began to lean closer to Grayson's face. But just as I was about to stretch out my hand to caress his cheek. I instantly pulled back the moment I heard the knocking again! Coming to my senses, I hurried out of the room and shut the door behind me...

"Oh, you're awake. That's good...uh, good morning. I hope you slept okay, my mother made breakfast for you in case you want to eat."

I was welcomed by Marissa's sudden voice, she stood awkwardly by the door as she tried to give me a warm greeting. I'm sure she knows that Grayson and I slept on the same bed together...not exactly an ideal situation to wake up to, especially when I haven't even spoken to Marissa's parents last night.

"Good morning, and she didn't have to do that. I feel bad enough for coming unannounced, this is your parent's house-"

"Don't worry about it, I already explained the reasoning for you coming. And after what happened last night, they're more than willing to have you stay here for as long as you need to until you set things right with your family. After all, you are kinda part of our pack now-"
