Orchid's POV:

"Stay close to him..."

"As long as you're by my side..."

"We're friends, aren't we..."

"Orchid, you have to live-"

"Marissa!"

Gasping for air, I called out her name as I felt myself panicking. The pain in my body made me instantly cry as I was unable to lift myself, my arms couldn't stop shaking once I noticed a needle attached to my hand! Confused, I frantically looked at my surroundings and saw that I was back in Grayson's room. What the hell am I doing here?!

"Ugh..."

I groaned in pain as I tried to sit upright, but the excruciating agony that ran up my back was almost too unbearable for me to move. Placing my hand on my back, I felt the stitches across my spine. I didn't even notice I wasn't wearing a shirt as I tugged the sheets closer to my chest. No wonder I feel so cold-

"Oh thank God, you're finally awake!"

Hearing Judy's voice, I watched her rush through the room as she came by my side. She was very careful when hugging me as I stayed in shock, Judy had a huge scar on her face!

"Are you okay? Here, let me go get Erica!"

Judy commented in concern as she tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear before leaving the room. However, all I could do was stay silent. My memories are a bit vague, and I'm trying to remember what happened. Placing my hand on my temple, the tension ached and I felt as though I was slammed against the pavement. My head, won't stop pounding-

"Orchid, can you hear me? Hey, let me have a look at you. Judy, did you contact Grayson already-"

"Yeah, I just messaged him. He said he'll be here shortly, he's still out with the other alpha's..."

With Judy and Erica conversing, I was having trouble following what they were saying as Erica had me lean into her as she looked at my back. This body of mine feels a lot heavier...

"What...happened to me?" I asked in a silent whisper as Erica helped me lay back down.

"You've been in and out of consciousness for the last 2 days. I was starting to worry that you might have a concussion, I was going to have Grayson take you to the ER if you didn't wake up today. I may be a doctor, but even I don't have the proper equipment to take care of you if you have a severe injury. I did what I could to stop the bleeding, the wound on your back had to be stitched up. Grayson helped alot in speeding up the process of your recovery. He healed most of the wounds on your arms and legs, unfortunately, there's nothing I could do about the scarring-"

"Grayson...where is he-"

"Don't get up, you're still recovering. Grayson is out with the head alpha and the other wolves. After the attack, we had to round up the injured and have everyone in Fang Claw move closer to the house."

Judy explained as she forbid me from getting back up from the bed as she sat next to me. My thought process began to resurface as I remembered the attack that happened a few nights ago. It's hard to believe that I've been unconscious this whole time, wait!

"Marissa! How is she!? Is she okay, what about Shawn and Joanna-"

"Shawn is with Grayson at the moment, and Joanna...she got hurt pretty badly trying to protect some of the children. She ended up losing the pregnancy, and an alpha from Silver Crest attacked her. She described him as having Silver ears. From what Grayson told us, his name is Roman, and he's one of the strongest members of Silver Crest. It took a lot to stop Kyle from going on his own to fight Silver Crest. Even Grayson had to tackle him down to stop him...so right now, Joanna doesn't want to talk with anyone... "
