Grayson's POV:

"To think a little girl like you would threaten me? I must have given up my pride..."

I commented on Orchid's behavior as she suddenly poked my cheek, it would be easy to just drag her back in the car and go back home. However, I could see how close she has gotten with Marissa. It's obvious how much they missed each other, but the relationship that I have with my sister is already corrupted...

"Kill me? Maybe you are the only one that could..."

I smirked in response as I watched her pull her hand back, though I immediately wrapped my arm behind her back in brought her close to me as she looked startled by my actions. Yet her expression grew a bit dark afterward, I guess she can't take my heavy sense of humor as a joke. No, is it even a joke? Orchid, you are the only one who can tame me...

"You know I could never kill you, even if I was stronger than you...I still wouldn't be able to."

She explained in a low voice as she avoided making eye contact. Perhaps I made things awkward for her, in these weeks...I've come to learn alot about her. About her past that was something accidental...but it was unavoidable. Either way, I want to believe that we were meant to meet each other...

"I understand, okay...we could spend the night. But just this once, Judy, stay close to her until I come back-"

"Really!? We can stay- but wait. Where are you going?"

Orchid raised her voice in excitement, but it quickly went away after I let her go. She then proceeded to follow me through the front door as Judy stayed by her side. Though before I could walk out the door, I looked over at Judy's troubled face and saw how concerned she still was. So I immediately leaned close to her where Orchid wouldn't be able to hear...

"If Marissa tries to harm Orchid, you are to take Orchid away as quickly as possible. But know this, if Orchid gets hurt...it will be Marissa's life I take away. And if Shawn gets in the way of that, I won't hesitate to kill him either-"

"I'll take care of her, I promise."

Judy quickly replied as I raised my head back, seeing Orchid's face grow tense, I knew she was still uncomfortable with Judy and me being close. But that's to be expected, jealousy is something that lingers in us all. So I'll give Orchid a reason not to hold such emotion...

"Grayson, what are you-"

Placing my hand on the back of her head, I took one step forward before leaning into her lips. Closing my eyes, I lost myself in her soft tender flesh. Her abrupt moan made me growl slightly before letting go and walking away...

"I'll come back in a while, there are some things I have to talk with Joanna about."

I strictly said before stepping out of the house, the scent of Orchid's lips still tingled against mine as I looked up at the clear sky. Smelling the air, I knew that the cold seasons were approaching. Summer here feels like fall...it's rare to see the sun out, even seeing a clear blue sky is a value here. Strangely, I still prefer the dark clouds and the dim sky. Maybe it's because...that's what I'm used to.

As I continued to walk further, the sight of female wolves began to avoid me as they smelled my strong pheromones. I guess it's true what they say, once you mark someone...your scent changes. It's no wonder some of the pack members have been more cautious around me. They probably think I'm some wild animal who can't control their instinct-

"This is a surprise, you're in your human form."

I suddenly heard Kyle coming from behind me, he was in his wolf form along with little Scott who came running on all fours between his father's legs. I never really put much thought into my future, but now...I wonder if I could have children of my own- no, on second thought. I don't want that...kids only become a nuisance.
